How amazing was this past Sunday's service!!! As we prepare for the upcoming corporate fast, have you noticed how strong the Word brought by Pastor George is about the purpose and importance of this fast?
It is no coincidence that we are going through Proverbs at this time. The Lord is trying to get our attention! Look at what our next verse in Proverbs 1 says:
"If you will turn (repent) and give heed to my reproof, behold, I [Wisdom] will pour out my spirit upon you, I will make my words known to you." Proverbs 1:23 (AMPC)
Last week we looked at three of the four different classes in relation to wisdom. In this verse we see the fourth one: those who are wise. That's the class you want to be in. You don't want to stay simple. You don't want to be a scorner or a fool. You want to become wise. That's why wisdom cries aloud, endeavoring to tell each of us the wise things to do. And if we will just stop and listen to what wisdom (or God) is saying, God promises to make His Word known to us. We will begin to understand how to walk in goodness, peace, justice and integrity.
Listen to what the Kesuvim / The Writings (Mishlei/Proverbs) on pg. 12 say about verses twenty-three:
Vs. 23 "Return to my reproof! Chochmah pleads with people to repent: "All I want is that you return to the proper way" (Radak). (NOTE: chochmah = instruction/teachings)
"Behold, I will express my spirit to you. You cannot claim that Hashem's ways are concealed from you, because Behold, I will express my spirit to you. Just as hidden underground water flows from its source, so too, the spirit of the Torah is laid out before you (Meiri)."
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Saturday, January 13th is our Advancing in Faith group. This group is using Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s study guide, Bible Faith! We meet every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the Living Room modular at 9 am. This group is also available online via Zoom.
- Thursday, January 18th is our monthly Women’s Business Group meeting. Join the group off-site in January for a Vision Board Night! They will be meeting at 7pm at La Madeleine restaurant in Presidio Junction (Alliance area). Address: 8825 N Fwy Service Road E, Fort Worth, TX 76177 Time: 7:00pm (feel free to come early at 6:30pm if you want to order dinner early – not mandatory. You can order food anytime you arrive). They will meet in a private room reserved for their meeting.
