What a BLESSED service we had with Brother Jesse Duplantis this past Sunday! And such a great WORD the Holy Spirit spoke through him! What was something he said that ministered to you? When the Holy Spirit highlights something within a sermon like that, it is good practice to meditate on it during the week!
Now for this week's verse in Proverbs 2:
"Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and fair dealing [in every area and relation]; yes, you will understand every good path." Proverbs 2:9 (AMPC)
When God's children don't walk in obedience to Him, they hinder Him from protecting them. How? By rebelling against His principles and laws of wisdom. Verse 9 tells us what the outcome will be when we put ourselves in a position to move with God instead of against Him.
You have to stay in agreement with Him. He won't change from His way in order to agree with you, even though He loves you. He can't change because He's right!
Listen to what the Kesuvim / The Writings (Mishlei/Proverbs) on pg. 17 say about verse nine:
Vs. 9 "Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and fairness. Once you see that Hashem protects those who serve Him sincerely (v. 8), you will strive to develop a sense of what is right, just, and fair (Radak). Hashem will help you accomplish this (Metzudos)."
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, April 25th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
- Saturday, April 27th is our Advancing in Faith group. This group is using Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s study guide, Bible Faith! We meet every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the Living Room modular at 9 am. This group is also available online via Zoom.
- Sunday, April 28th is The Ruth Circle, a support group for Widows. This group focuses on moving forward in faith, while making meaningful connections. Several times a year guest speakers are invited that offer helpful tips on skills for various areas of life. This group meets every 4th Sunday right after service in the Living Room modular!
- Monday, April 29th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. Join us as we study Dr. Bill Winston's teaching on Living In The Fourth Dimension! We meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom! Click here to register!
- Wednesday, May 1st is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
- Thursday, May 4th is our monthly Radiant Book Club meeting. We meet every 1st Thursday at 12:15 pm in the WordWorks Bookstore. The book selected for our May discussion is Love: The Way To Victory by Brother Kenneth Hagin.
