May Theme: Red Light, Green Light
Do you remember the childhood game of red-light-green light? Well, this month in Superkid Academy we are bringing it back! We are teaching birth-5th grade the EMIC core value: we are led by the Holy Spirit. Just like the game, sometimes the Holy Spirit says “stop,” “go,” or “slow down!” Our children will learn each week about the different roles of the Holy Spirit found in the Word of God and how to be led by him.

1st – 5th Grade Wednesdays in May:
We are beginning our summer series called “The Armor of Light!” Each week we will teach the 1st-5th graders about a different piece of the armor of God and how they can stand victoriously in life! At the end of the message, we will head outside and engage in the battle of champions where Superkids will compete in fun games and activities.

SKA Camp:
Our theme this year at camp is “The Ultimate Race.” Pastor George gave a Word from the Lord that said, “More of Me you will see. More of Me you will experience…All that you have not seen before I will show you and reveal and all the things that you strip away from your lives will make you lighter and lighter…” We believe that our Superkids are coming to camp hungry to see more of Jesus! They will experience more of Him and will lay aside everything that weighs them down. Superkids will leave camp lighter than ever and commissioned to run “The Ultimate Race” set before them with joy, endurance, and their eyes fixed on Jesus!

National Day of Prayer:
On Wednesday, May 1st, Superkids will actively use their faith to pray over America! May 2nd is the National Day of Prayer.
Happy Mother’s Day:
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the SUPER MOMs! As a mother of two daughters, I believe the most important title a woman can hold is the title of mommy! Between the day-to-day tasks of laundry, mealtimes, and cleaning up messes, you also take the time to instill faith in your children. That is so important and eternal. YOU make a difference every day, and you impact the kingdom of God more than you realize. Today, we celebrate you!
Proverbs 31:27-29 says: “She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.'”
