BOLDNESS!

“Walk in Bull Dog Faith!”

-Pastor George Pearsons

Men, boldness has a pattern and it’s delivered to us by the faith of God.

The Torah, also known as the Pentateuch, which are the first 5 books of the Bible had been written. In them, Creation, deliverance, His laws, His guidance, and His promises were established and now the Lord, in Joshua chapter 1 chose a man, Joshua, and commanded him to be bold in order to take possession and walk in the promises.

Jos 1:7  Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

Jos 1:8  This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Jos 1:9  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

In Joshua1:7-9 God, gives us the pattern for boldness:

  1. Be steadfast in obedience to the Word.
  2. Speak the Word.
  3. Meditate on the Word.
  4. Have faith in God knowing that God is with you always.

During our June Men’s Conference, Pastor George shared that boldness is necessary because we are in a time of war – a culture war and a moral war.

Pro 28:1 The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Faith believes that we have certain victory, that the greater One is in us, greater than anything we see or come against in the world. As the righteous, we take a stand against all the lies, wickedness and, perversions by walking in all the revelations of the Armor of God in Ephesians chapter 6.

“Faith is the oxygen of a courageous Christian life.”   – Ps. Al Velez

Luke 18:8  I tell you, he will give justice to them speedily. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?"

Jesus wants to find faith when He returns because faith is the only guarantee Jesus has that we have lived a courageous Christian life for Him.

The Book of Acts records the acts of the Holy Spirit through the early church. Read the last 2 verses of the last chapter of Acts below:

Act 28:30-31  He lived there two whole years at his own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness and without hindrance.

Paul proclaimed the kingdom of God and taught about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness! The Acts of the Holy Spirit through the church continue today. Acts didn’t end with chapter 28 versus 30-31 – that was just the start! Paul handed us a baton of boldness to continue in today.

Act 2:42  And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The word steadfastly is the Greek word proskartereo which means: to persevere and not faint, to show one’s self courageous. The faith of God gives us the courage we need stand against every cultural and moral attack against our families, communities and church with all boldness!

Act 3:16  And his name—by faith in his name—has made this man strong whom you see and know, and the faith that is through Jesus has given the man this perfect health in the presence of you all.

Boldness was the outcome of the Holy Spirit for the disciples coming out of the Upper Room. Supernatural boldness to speak out for healing, truth and binding and loosing against all the work of the enemy, in the name of Jesus!

Men, unified faith is the incubator for revival!

Let’s continue to join our faith in prayer for the Key Prayer Points below that will continue throughout the month.

  • That the men of EMIC and the church at large make God’s Word final authority in 2023
  • Psalm 91 protection over our church, leaders and partners for wholeness and prosperity.
  • That Pastor George and Pastor Terri and Brother and Sister Copeland are renewed as Eagles in youthfulness, health and utterance in the Holy Spirit
  • Complete healing for our church family members that are overcoming.
  • Restoration, deliverance and a visitation from Jesus for all those affected by the Maui fires.

Men, there are active opportunities to be involved in affecting each one of these areas here at EMIC, our community, schools and patriotic involvement and through effective faith-filled prayers.
