Pastor George Pearsons

Sunday Outline – October 8, 2023

This past Sunday, Pastor George spoke on “Invoke God’s Covenant over Israel.”

The national anthem of Israel (English translation):

As long as the Jewish spirit is yearning deep in the heart, With eyes turned toward the East, looking toward Zion, Then our hope -‐ the two-‐thousand-‐year-‐old hope -‐ will not be lost: To be a free people in our land, The land of Zion and Jerusalem.

Pastor opened with the passage from Exodus 9:1, “Go back to Pharaoh, the Lord commanded Moses, Tell him this is what the God of the Hebrews says: Let my people go so they can worship Me!”

He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

1 Chronicles 16:14-18; (KJV)

“Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which He commanded to a thousand generations; Even of the covenant which He made with Abraham, and of His oath unto Isaac; And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.”

Everlasting = Eternal, perpetual, without end, forever.

A covenant is very serious.

A covenant is a pledge of total devotion between two parties.
They commit to support, defend, provide, and protect each other.

  • The Western World is unfamiliar with the serious nature of a covenant.
  • The more “civilized” we have become, the more we have moved away from the concept of covenant.
  • We live in a covenant-breaking society.

Covenant = To cut flesh; implies an incision where blood flows.

The covenant of blood is the most powerful and serious form of agreement ever established.

Examples of a covenant

a.         An agreement between a farmer and a warrior – where one is weak, the other is strong and each depends on the other.

b.         A marriage between a husband and wife – they commit to support each other.

c.     1 Samuel 18:3 (NIV) Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.

An everlasting covenant with God is unbreakable. A covenant with God can never be dissolved, annulled, broken, altered, or forgotten — it is forever.

Psalm 89:34; (KJV)

“My Covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of My lips.”

(NIV) I will not violate My covenant.

Numbers 23:19; (NIV)

“God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?” Absolutely NOT!

Isaiah 54:10; (NKJV)

“For the mountains shall depart And the hills be removed, But My kindness shall not depart from you, Nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” Says the LORD, who has mercy on you.”

God made an everlasting covenant with Abraham regarding the land of Israel.

Genesis 17:7-8; (NLT)

“I will confirm my covenant with you and your descendants after you, from generation to generation. This is the everlasting covenant: I will always be your God and the God of your descendants after you. And I will give the entire land of Canaan, where you now live as a foreigner, to you AND your descendants. IT WILL BE THEIR POSSESSION FOREVER, AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD.”

The Gaza Strip is currently a Palestinian exclave on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, this and so much more are to be taken back and returned to Israel as they belong to God.

Psalm 105:7-11; (NKJV)

“He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, The Word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant Saying, “To you, I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance.”

The Hamas are trespassers on God’s property, and they must leave. In light of the Sabbath attack (10/07/23), they have opened themselves to God’s curses.

Genesis 12:3; (NIV)

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

Zechariah 2:8; (CEV)

“Then the glorious Lord All-Powerful ordered me to say to the nations that had raided and robbed Zion: Zion is as precious to the Lord as are his eyes. Whatever you do to Zion, you do to him.”

Don’t mess with Israel! Biblical precedent has been set. Attack Israel and prepare for God’s judgment and wrath. {This word from the Lord was given to Pastor George yesterday.}

Exodus 23:22; (NIV)

“If you listen carefully to what He says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.”

(CEV) I will be a fierce enemy of your enemies.

(MSG) I’ll fight those who fight you.

2 Chronicles 20:11-15; (KJV)

“Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou hast given us to inherit. O our God, wilt thou not judge them? for we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee. And all Judah stood before the Lord, with their little ones, their wives, and their children. Then upon Jahaziel the son of Zechariah, the son of Benaiah, the son of Jeiel, the son of Mattaniah, a Levite of the sons of Asaph, came the Spirit of the Lord in the midst of the congregation; And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the Lord unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's."

Josaphat stands in front of the congregation to invoke his covenant rites by what he proclaims.

Vv. 4-12 We [EMIC] have gathered today on behalf of Israel.

V. 22 The Lord sent ambushments.

Engage your faith, engage your belief!  Invoke God’s covenant over Israel.

Hamas Attacked on the Sabbath.

Exodus 20:8-11; (AMPC)

“[Earnestly] remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy (withdrawn from common employment and dedicated to God). Six days you shall labor and do all your work, But the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God; in it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, your daughter, your manservant, your maidservant, your domestic animals, or the sojourner within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it [set it apart for His purposes].”

Israel battles Hamas attack, causing the Jews to break their Sabbath does not go well with God.

Exodus 31:15; (AMPC)

“Six days may work be done, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, sacred to the Lord; whoever does work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.”

Matthew 18:6; (NKJV)

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.”

Isaiah 54:13-17; (NKJV)

“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, And great shall be the peace of your children. In righteousness you shall be established; You shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; And from terror, for it shall not come near you. Indeed they shall surely assemble, but not because of Me. Whoever assembles against you shall fall for your sake. “Behold, I have created the blacksmith Who blows the coals in the fire, Who brings forth an instrument for his work; And I have created the spoiler to destroy. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me, Says the LORD.

Isaiah 41:8-13; (NKJV)

“But you, Israel, are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, And said to you, ’You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away: Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish. You shall seek them and not find them — Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, a nonexistent thing. For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.’”

Amos 9:14-15; (NKJV)

“I will bring back the captives of My people Israel; They shall build the waste cities and inhabit them; They shall plant vineyards and drink wine from them; They shall also make gardens and eat fruit from them. I will plant them in their land, And no longer shall they be pulled up From the land I have given them,” Says the LORD your God.”

Pastor George shared this has been so strong and stirring in him. We had to:

  1. Inform about Israel.
  2. Pray about Israel
  3. Preach about Israel.
  4. Sow into Israel. A retribution offering against the devil for what He has tried to do against Israel, and against us.

Victory is ours now. Whatever is happening in each of our lives, God has provided victory now!
