Superkid Academy – December

Commander’s Corner:

During this Christmas season, the streets and neighborhoods are beautifully decorated with lights!  These lights remind us of the light of the world, the Savior, who came down from heaven to earth. That is why our theme in Superkids during December is called “Light it up!”  We will teach the Bible stories of the angelic visitation to Mary & the shepherds, the foretold prophecy about the coming Messiah, & the birth of Jesus.  I pray this season fills you with the presence of Jesus Himself.  According to Isaiah, He is our Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace!

Israel Spotlight:

This month we are teaching the children how the Jewish people celebrate this season.  We will present the Hanukkah traditions and meal to them in our fun segment called “Israel Spotlight.”

Family Christmas Activities:

Take extra time and make the most of this season together as a family.  I have listed some fun, yet simple, family Christmas activities to do with each other. Some of my favorite memories as a child are the simple ways we celebrated Christmas together and made it memorable!

Decorate Christmas cookies, make gingerbread houses, drive around and look at neighborhood lights, light a fire & read the Bible of story of Jesus’s birth, make hot chocolate together, buy a gift for a child or family in need, and look for ways to give back to the community and minister to the poor and hurting.

Rieonna Brown:

Rieonna serves in our Supertots classrooms with flexibility and a smile! She is very attentive to our toddlers, and they light up when she’s in the room! We are so thankful for Rieonna’s willingness to jump in and help with anything that needs to be done. Thank you, Rieonna for being part of our team!

EMIC Christmas Party:

Join us for a festive evening of Christmas cheer, Wednesday, December 13th, 7-8:30 pm, for our annual EMIC Christmas Party! Come dressed in your favorite Christmas attire and celebrate the joy of the season with us at our own ice-skating rink, pony carousel, snow slide, and more! Superkid Academy classrooms will not be open during the party. Enjoy a fun night together as a family!
