Have you heard (or perhaps even given) this familiar response when someone asks how you are doing? "I'm BLESSED and highly favored." It sounds like a great faith response, but is it? Scripture says it this way:
"But he who looks carefully into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and faithfully abides by it, not having become a [careless] listener who forgets but an active doer [who obeys], he will be blessed and favored by God in what he does [in his life of obedience].” James 1:25 (AMP)
We are definitely BLESSED and favored by God… BUT… did you catch what your responsibility is in order to have that BLESSING and favor??? First, we are to LOOK CAREFULLY into the perfect law – the law of liberty. That means to go line upon line, precept upon precept – in other words – STUDY IT!. Then, we are to FAITHFULLY abide by it! That means not just when its convenient for us, not just when we have time, not just when we feel like it – FAITHFULLY we are to DO what it says! The scripture even warns us to be careful that we haven't become a CARELESS listener – meaning we are in mental assent! NO, we are to be an ACTIVE DOER who OBEYS the WORD FAITHFULLY that we are meditating and studying day and night!! ONLY then will be we be BLESSED and favored by God!!
If you have been facing more struggles than you have BLESSINGS and favor – you may want to pause and get with the Holy Spirit and check if you have missed it according to James 1:25!
!!!RADIANT DISCIPLESHIP GROUP ANNOUNCES A NEW STUDY!!!
The new study will be on Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! The group meets every Monday, 12:15pm – 1:15pm, in the Hospitality Room and via Zoom. The first meeting will be Monday, April 17th.

- Thursday, April 13th is Radiant! Our guest speaker is Sister Iva Bennett!! Join us in the Chapel for food, fellowship and a great Word from our Father just for you!! Doors will open at 6:30 pm with refreshments and fellowship. Free childcare will be provided for ages birth – 5th grade.

- Saturday, April 15th is our Growing Deeper group meeting. If you are looking to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord, to experience greater growth with God; along with a stronger unity and love with our fellow sisters in the Lord, then join us every 3rd week on Saturday at 8 am in the Living Room modular. There will be a potluck brunch – bring something to share if you are able, but it is not required – all are welcome!
- Sunday, April 16th is our Marriage Re-Envisioned group for single women. Come join us as we learn the essentials of preparing for marriage. Whether you are single, divorced, or widowed we have a place for you! We meet every 1st & 3rd Sunday right after service in SLC Classroom B. You may bring lunch with you.
- Sunday, April 16th is when Bridge Moms meet to cook the meal for our Bridge Young Adults group. We cook every 1st & 3rd Sunday. 2:30pm-6:30pm – Prep to clean up. This group requires a food handlers license (license fee reimbursed upon completion), so if you are interested in joining, please reach out directly to Pastor Cathy: cgrigg@emic.org
- Monday, April 17th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are beginning a NEW STUDY on Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom: Radiant Discipleship Link
- Monday, April 17th we have our #MomLife Playday – a group for all moms with children ages elementary and younger to gather together while their children play, make connections, and enjoy some snacks! They will meet at 10:30am at the Rhome Family Park.
- Monday, April 17th we have our Table Talk (65 and beyond) group. This group is for women (65 years of age and beyond). We have fellowship around the Word of God and with each other. They meet at 11:00 am at Cattleman’s Ridge every 1st Tuesday.
- Wednesday, April 19th is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God, and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
