As we continue our study of Proverbs, it is in verse two that God tells us why He inspired King Solomon to write it:
"Within these sayings will be found the revelation of wisdom and the impartation of spiritual understanding. Use them as keys to unlock the treasures of true knowledge." Proverbs 1:2 (TPT)
God had King Solomon to write the book of Proverbs to instruct us in Wisdom! Skillful and godly wisdom is actually the greatest BLESSING God could ever give us. The understanding and insight that come from God can help us live on this earth almost as if we were already in Heaven! If we will heed these words, God is saying they will become for us keys that unlock the TREASURES of TRUE knowledge!!
People who choose God and His ways have a tremendous advantage in life. We can live and move in the kingdom of God today – right now – not just after we get to Heaven. We are citizens of Heaven! We are to live in this earth in the BLESSING and POWER of GOD!
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, October 19th is our monthly Women’s Business Group meeting. This month: Guest Speaker: Janie Choate and Fall Potluck Dinner. Janie is a former business executive and a member of the Radiant Key Leader team. Janie will teach the group about "How to create a successful business plan" and share about her business experiences throughout the years, and pitfalls to avoid. We're excited to hear from Janie and learn from her expertise! They meet every 3rd Thursday at 7 pm in the Living Room modular.
- Friday, October 20th we have our #MomLife Playday – a group for all moms with children ages elementary and younger to gather together while their children play, make connections, and enjoy some snacks! They will meet at 10:30am at the Rhome Family Park.
- Friday, October 20th is the meeting of our newest group Life In The Middle! This group is specifically for women ages 30-45 and will meet every 1st & 3rd Friday at 7pm in SLC Classroom B. Join us as we discuss life topics and make meaningful connections.
- Saturday, October 21st is our Deep group meeting. If you are looking to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord, to experience greater growth with God; along with a stronger unity and love with our fellow sisters in the Lord, then join us every 3rd week on Saturday at 8 am in the Living Room modular. There will be a potluck brunch – bring something to share if you are able, but it is not required – all are welcome!
- Sunday, October 22nd is The Ruth Circle, a support group for Widows. This group focuses on moving forward in faith, while making meaningful connections. Several times a year guest speakers are invited that offer helpful tips on skills for various areas of life. This group meets every 4th Sunday right after service in the Living Room modular!
- Monday, October 23rd is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. Join us as we study Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! We meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom! Radiant Discipleship Registration
- Tuesday, October 24th is our Growing From Glory to Glory group. A time to enjoy the Word of God, good teaching, and light refreshments with other women of EMIC. They meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 12:15 pm & 6:00pm in the Hospitality Room.
- Thursday, October 26th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
