Commander’s Corner:
It’s getting busy in the Healing Zone! This week in Superkid Academy, we are heading over to the crosswalk and will learn about the time that a lame man got up and WALKED! We will teach from Acts chapter 3 when the Lord used Peter and John to heal the beggar at the temple gate. This is a great opportunity to talk to your kids about what we should do when we have symptoms of a tummy ache, flu, or anything else under the curse. We go to the Word, and we take communion as a reminder of our covenant promise that we have through the body and blood of Jesus. Take time to gather around the dinner table and take communion together this week!
On Wednesday nights during our summer Olympics, we are learning about the uniform of a champion! All champions have a specific uniform they wear during a game, and as children of God, our uniform is God’s Armor. We will teach our 1st-5th graders about all the pieces of the armor and how they are to put it on every day.
Vacation Bible School:
Our theme this year is BLAST OFF WITH FAITH! 1 John 5:4 says, “This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” This year during VBS we are going to BLAST OFF with the Word of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit! Join us for a 3-day event, filled with out of this world activities! Each day, your child will get to participate in chapel, worship, arts & crafts, snacks, space games, and of course science experiments! Come out and join us as we travel through space together!
