Commander’s Corner:
It takes effort to put the Word of God first place in our lives! This Sunday, Superkids will learn about how Mary chose to stop her daily tasks and sit at the feet of Jesus. This upset Martha, but Jesus commended her! Every day, no matter how busy life gets, we need to stop and take time to sit at the feet of the Master. Only with His strength and ability can we live life to the fullest, raise our children, and do all that He has destined us to do. I encourage you to make the Word of God a priority in your family. It could be through a daily devotion time or a time of worship together. Be mindful that there are little eyes watching you to see how you will put the Word of God first. The Bible encourages us to “train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)
Remember to review our monthly memory verse with your Superkid at home! Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Wednesday Night:
Our elective highlight for this week is our 5th Grade Blue Squad. This class is to help our 5th graders prepare for their transition into 14forty middle school. Cmdr. Jennifer will teach the 1st round of classes. She will teach them about leaving a legacy and help them gain confidence as they step into their new season. They will also do fun activities such as writing thank you notes to those who have influenced them in SKA, creating a book with their favorite Superkid memories, and painting canvases to display on the stage at camp 2023.
