June Theme: His Image in Me

It’s time to take a look in the mirror! That’s exactly what we are going to do in Superkid Academy during the month of June. We are building a foundation and teaching our Superkids about their identity! They will learn who they are in Christ, what the Word says about them, and how to see themselves like God does!

Promotion Night:

Our Kindergartners that are entering the 1st grade will be promoted into Superkid Academy on Wednesday, June 5th! We are so excited to receive this new group of kids in SKA and help them go deeper in their relationship with the Lord. The theme for our promotion party this evening is: “Launch Out into the Deep!” We will have fun ocean decorations, so all 1st-5th graders are encouraged to wear fun beach attire. We will introduce our incoming students, make a fun craft, and eat cupcakes. The party starts at 7 pm!

Volunteer of the Month:

Craig Chariton

Craig serves faithfully in our Superbabies classroom! Every time he serves, he takes the initiative to make sure our classroom is prepared and ready to receive the Superbabies. We admire the love Craig shows to the babies and we are grateful to have him serve in our Superbabies room!

Happy Father’s Day:

Shout out to all the dads! A father brings confidence, protection, calmness, and fun to our lives. The title and responsibility of being a dad is one of the greatest roles in the Kingdom of God. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 19.5 million children, more than 1 in 4, live without a father in the home. Thank you for choosing to be a Dad! You are making a difference in the lives of your children and society. Thank you for taking on one of the most important roles of fatherhood.

Fun Facts About Fathers:

  • Children with involved dads have fewer behavior problems in middle childhood and adolescence.
  • Children whose dads read to them develop better language skills.
  • Teens with involved dads have lower levels of stress and depressive symptoms.
