August Theme: The Greatest of All Time
During the month of August, we are teaching your Superkids one of our core values: We Walk in Love. Faith cannot work without love. In fact, Jesus said that the most important commandment is that we love God and love others! The greatest legacy you can leave your family, friends, co-workers and leaders is the gift of love. Love is POWERFUL. Love covers sin, and it allows forgiveness to happen! We are excited to help your children learn how to grow in their love for Jesus and others this month. Our memory verse is 1 Corinthians 13:13. Encourage your child this month to learn the memory verse and take action by finding ways to show love to Jesus and others!

Volunteer of the Month:
John Kawanzaruwa
Mr. John serves in our Supertots classroom! Not only does he bring a lot of fun to our Supertots, but he also brings peace (two things that are really helpful for toddlers!). John is ready in season and out, and we are so thankful for all that he does in our Supertots class. Thank you, Mr. John!
Back to School Night – Free School Supply Giveaway:
On August 7th at 7:00pm, we are having our annual back to school night, and we’re giving away free school supplies to our Superkids 1st-5th grade. Make sure to come to service!
Fall Specials:
August 14th is the kickoff for our fall specials in 1st-5th grade! We have two new exciting classes!
1st – 2nd Grade:
Basic Training: We are going over the EMIC core values with our younger Superkids. They will learn how to put the Word of God first place, live by faith, walk in love, be led by the Holy spirit, pray about everything, protect the anointing on themselves and others, and honor God! Each class will include a message from the Bible and different activities such as: arts and crafts, game time, team building projects and snack time.
3rd – 5th Grade:
History Buff: Superkids will learn about the electoral process in the United States.
Around the World: Each week, congregants from various countries will share about where they are from! Superkids will learn about fun customs and traditions of those countries. As a young teenager, I wanted to be a missionary and had a love for different cultures. I want to impart the love for different cultures and nations around the world to our Superkids, because one day they may be called to go and share Jesus!
