April Theme: Celebrate!
Resurrection is in the air! What an exciting month and time to celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of our Savior! This month, that’s what we’re teaching in Superkid Academy, from the babies all the way up to 5th grade. We’ll teach the children all about the significance of Resurrection Sunday, starting with salvation through Jesus, Palm Sunday, His resurrection, and what we’ve gained through the finished work of the cross! Below are each weeks Bible stories that we are teaching in class.
Weekly Topics:
April 6th – Zacchaeus (Luke 19)
April 13th – Triumphant Entry (Matthew 21)
April 20th – Jesus is Alive (Matthew 27-28)
April 27th – We are Blessed (Ephesians 1)
Memory Verse:
“For God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 NIV

Wednesday Nights in April:
Our 1st and 2nd graders will continue learning about faith foundations on Wednesday nights with engaging group activities, crafts, games, and snacks!
Meanwhile, our 3rd-5th graders will dive into the character traits of our faith heroes. Oftentimes, the focus is on their testimonies or the rewards they earned, but we’ll take a closer look at WHY God selected these individuals for extraordinary kingdom tasks. We’ll learn about the faith heroes listed below, highlighting the key character trait that defined them and why they were chosen by God to do extraordinary things:
Abraham: His Trust in God
Ruth: Her Faithfulness
David: His Willing Heart
Mary: Her Obedience
Special Forces Team Tryouts – Sunday, April 27th:
Our Special Forces are a team of Superkids who minister to their peers on Sunday mornings through segments such as offering lessons, prayer and pledge, memory verse readouts, and helping in the kitchen and lab segments—plus so much more! Each year, we hold tryouts for this team. If your Superkid is already part of the Special Forces, they don’t need to try out again. But if they’re not on the team and want to join, please have them sign up in class. We’ll then send parents the tryout script for their child to prepare. Tryouts are scheduled for Sunday, April 27th, at 8:30 AM in Classroom B (located across the hall from SKA Studios).
