You know that feeling you get when you really messed things up? You feel terrible right? And then, to add insult to injury, the devil comes and begins bringing up all the other past mistakes you’ve made. That feeling is your spirit man being grieved. You see, we weren’t created to enjoy sin (which is really what the vast majority of mistakes are). Don’t let the devil put you in condemnation by bringing up the past to where you no longer listen to your spirit man. Ask forgiveness over your mistake quickly, and by doing so, put a stop to the devil. You could even confront him with this scripture:
“He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we would be dead to sin and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding.” 1 Peter 2:24 (TPT) While we often attribute that last part of the verse to being healed from sickness and disease, it can also be a healing from our sins!
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, October 20th is our monthly Women’s Business Group meeting. Whether you are thinking about going into business or already own your own, this group covers multiple topics to encourage all women in the business field! They normally meet every 3rd Thursday at 7 pm in the Living Room modular.
- Saturday, October 22nd is our Advancing in Faith group. This group just started a new study using Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s study guide, Bible Faith! We meet every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the Living Room modular at 9 am. This group is also available online via Zoom: Advancing in Faith Meeting ID: 343 088 9500. There is a $10 course fee that includes the Bible Faith Study Guide we will be using. To register for this group please go here: Registration
- Sunday, October 23rd is The Ruth Circle, a support group for Widows. They meet and discuss the victory they have over widowhood and how to move forward in faith. They meet every 4th Sunday right after service in the Living Room modular – LUNCH IS PROVIDED with RSVP to cgrigg@emic.org!
- Monday, October 24th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are currently going through Sister Gloria Copeland’s book on the Fruit of the Spirit and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom: Radiant Discipleship Link
- Tuesday, October 25th is our Growing From Glory to Glory group. A time to enjoy the Word of God, good teaching, and light refreshments with other women of EMIC. They meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesday at 10 am in the Hospitality Room.
- Thursday, October 27th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
