The LOVE of Christ! In that LOVE is EVERYTHING, yet our natural senses will war against our spirit man and say it isn’t enough (sufficient) when troubles come. In that moment you have a choice – will you believe your senses or believe the Word of God?
Look at what the Apostle Paul had to say about the LOVE of Christ!:
“Who could ever divorce us from the endless love of God’s Anointed One? Absolutely no one! For nothing in the universe has the power to diminish his love toward us. Troubles, pressures, and problems are unable to come between us and heaven’s love. What about persecutions, deprivations, dangers, and death threats? No, for they are all impotent to hinder omnipotent love, 36even though it is written: All day long we face death threats for your sake, God. We are considered to be nothing more than sheep to be slaughtered! 37Yet even in the midst of all these things, we triumph over them all, for God has made us to be more than conquerors, and his demonstrated love is our glorious victory over everything! 38So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. 39There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!” Romans 8:35-39 (TPT)
Christ’s LOVE is greater than all the bad in the world!! So, no matter what is going on around you or even to you, it can’t separate you from God’s LOVE – only YOU can separate yourself from that LOVE. Take time today to focus on Christ’s LOVE for you and then tell those troubles about HOW GREAT GOD’S LOVE is for you!!
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Saturday, November 5th is our BRAND NEW New Mom Connections group. This group is designed to connect first-time Moms to other women who have or are expecting a newborn but also have other children. To be a connection point where questions may be asked, and friendships built. The group meets the first Saturday each month at 9:30 am in the Living Room Modular. This month they have guest speaker, Ashlyn Sanders, a certified health coach, coming to speak on nutrition pre-delivery, but especially post delivery.
- Sunday, November 6th is the Marriage Re-Envisioned group for single women. Come join them as they learn the essentials of preparing for marriage. Whether you are single, divorced, or widowed they have a place for you! They meet every 1st & 3rd Sunday right after service in the Living Room Modular. You may bring lunch with you.
- Sunday, November 6th is when Bridge Moms meet to cook the meal for our Bridge Young Adults group. We cook every 1st & 3rd Sunday. 2:30pm-6:30pm – Prep to clean up. This group requires a food handlers license (license fee reimbursed upon completion), so if you are interested in joining, please reach out directly to Pastor Cathy: cgrigg@emic.org
- Monday, November 7th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are currently going through Sister Gloria Copeland’s book on the Fruit of the Spirit and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom: Radiant Discipleship Link
- Tuesday, November 8th is our Growing From Glory to Glory group. A time to enjoy the Word of God, good teaching, and light refreshments with other women of EMIC. They meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 10am in the Hospitality Room.
- Thursday, November 10th is Radiant! Join us for our Annual Radiant Friendsgiving, Thursday, November 10th at 7:00pm CT in the Chapel!! Bring a friend as we enjoy an evening of creativity, fellowship, food, and the Word of God!! Our guest speaker for the evening will be Pastor Kathryn Hanley. ALSO, if you bring food donations for the Life Unlimited Christmas Outreach, you will be entered in a drawing for dinner with Pastor Cathy (her treat!)! Registration is required, but FREE! Doors will open at 6:30pm CT with refreshments. Childcare will be provided for ages birth through 5th grade. Invite a friend and register now at Radiant
