“Words. It all began with words.” I’ll never forget that statement as long as I live. It was given by holocaust survivor, Irving Roth. He shared how one of the ways the Nazis began to turn people against the Jews, was with something as simple as name-calling. This led to a distortion of truths and then outright lying. Soon people believed the propaganda and lies and allowed fear to rule them, overtaking even their natural instincts – that killing someone is wrong. It caused them to overlook the labor/extermination camps; to ignore the screams and smells. Before too long, Hitler was overtaking countries. Words – twisted words that led to fear – had blinded the eyes of the people until they placed themselves in the position of not being able to defend themselves when Hitler began coming after them.
Did you know this same tactic of satan is still at work today? It is, and Christians are succumbing to it in large numbers. Don’t believe me? Look at the political name-calling going on right now. The twisted truths that bend our view of someone to fit what the one in control wants us to believe about that party or those people. If we are not careful, it will go down the same dark path that the Nazis took Germany and the rest of the world not all that long ago.

“Your words are so powerful that they will kill or give life, and the talkative person will reap the consequences.“ Proverbs 18:21 (TPT)
Join me this month in choosing to speak LOVE over others we don’t agree with. The change we want to see in this world begins with us – prostrating ourselves in humility – and choosing words of LIFE no matter what we hear others saying.

- Thursday, February 9th is our Radiant Galentine Party! Join us as we celebrate Valentine’s Day in the Chapel with roses, chocolates, fun games, and activities, plus food! Doors will open at 6:30 pm with refreshments and fellowship. Free childcare will be provided for ages birth – 5th grade.

- Saturday, February 11th is our Advancing in Faith group. This group is using Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s study guide, Bible Faith! We meet every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the Living Room modular at 9 am. This group is also available online via Zoom. - Monday, February 13th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are currently going through Sister Gloria Copeland’s book on the Fruit of the Spirit and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom: Radiant Discipleship Link
- Tuesday, February 14th is our Growing From Glory to Glory group. A time to enjoy the Word of God, good teaching, and light refreshments with other women of EMIC. They meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room.
- Wednesday, February 15th is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God, and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
