Recently, I have heard from several women about how they are being attacked by the enemy with tormenting thoughts and feelings. Tormented about everything from not being good enough, to bringing up things from their past that they went through or did. These are mighty women of faith, yet the enemy has been able to penetrate their thoughts and emotions. Perhaps like these women, you have or are currently being bombarded by the enemy similarly! In seeking the Lord on how to encourage these sisters-in-Christ, I was reminded that we are not exempt from temptation, persecution or attack. BUT we are promised that we will not go through it alone.
Look at what this scripture has to say:
"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.” Isaiah 43:2 (AMPC)
You may feel like you are pushing against a current, or drowning, or even going through a fire with these attacks, but the WORD promises that HE is with us, that those trials will not overwhelm us, or the fire burn us! REMEMBER – those thoughts of failure, those thoughts of what you may have done in the past, those thoughts that you aren't good enough, nor thoughts about things you went through in the past do NOT define you!! The moment you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior you became a NEW CREATION!!
2 Corinthians 5:17 (AMPC) says it best! "Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!"

- Thursday, June 1st is our monthly Radiant Book Club meeting. We meet every 1st Thursday at 12:15 pm in the WordWorks Bookstore. The book selected for our June discussion is Walking in Honor and Truth, by Brother Kenneth Copeland. You can register here: Radiant Book Club - Saturday, June 3rd is our New Mom Connections group. This group is designed to connect first-time Moms to other women who have or are expecting a newborn but also have other children. To be a connection point where questions may be asked, and friendships built. The group meets the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 am in the Living Room Modular.
- Sunday, June 4th is our Marriage Re-Envisioned group for single women. Come join us as we learn the essentials of preparing for marriage. Whether you are single, divorced, or widowed we have a place for you! We meet every 1st & 3rd Sunday right after service in SLC Classroom B. You may bring lunch with you.
- Sunday, June 4th is when Bridge Moms meet to cook the meal for our Bridge Young Adults group. We cook every 1st & 3rd Sunday. 2:30pm-6:30pm – Prep to clean up. This group requires a food handlers license (license fee reimbursed upon completion), so if you are interested in joining, please reach out directly to Pastor Cathy: cgrigg@emic.org
- Monday, June 5th we have our #MomLife Playday – a group for all moms with children ages elementary and younger to gather together while their children play, make connections, and enjoy some snacks! They will meet at 10:30am at the Rhome Family Park.
- Monday, June 5th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We have begun a NEW STUDY on Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom! Radiant Discipleship Registration
- Wednesday, June 7th is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God, and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
- Thursday, June 8th is our Radiant Summer Social! Join us in the SLC Auditorium for a special night as we unite with the Bridge young ladies for a multi-generational evening of fun, activities, food, and a special word from Charity Shelton. Doors will open at 6:30pm with refreshments and a special one of a kind giveaway! Free childcare will be provided for ages birth – 5th grade.
