Do you hunger after God? I recently read a Psalm that spoke so passionately of David's desire for God, that it caused me to pause and check myself! Do I hunger after God the way this man that God said was "…after My own heart…" is describing? I'm not talking about emotion here – I'm talking about a hunger so tangible that it compares to someone who has gone days without food and will do almost anything to get some. It exploded so deeply within me, that I sense we may be on this topic for a little while with this blog.

WOW! Do you see what I am talking about? That is just the 1st verse!! So what do we do with this passage? We begin the way I did – searching our selves to see if we yearn for God to this degree. If we find we don't, then its time to do some investigating into why and start correcting those things. Perhaps you may believe you do yearn for God to this degree – if so, then join me next week as we begin diving into how we can start satisfying that yearning!!
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, August 17th is our monthly Women’s Business Group meeting. This months topic: How to start a business (part 1): Determine your business "why", create a business plan and choose your business entity (LLC, sole proprietorship, etc.). They meet every 3rd Thursday at 7 pm in the Living Room modular. Feel free to bring a snack to share (not mandatory).
- Saturday, August 19th is our Deep group meeting. If you are looking to grow deeper in your relationship with the Lord, to experience greater growth with God; along with a stronger unity and love with our fellow sisters in the Lord, then join us every 3rd week on Saturday at 8 am in the Living Room modular. There will be a potluck brunch – bring something to share if you are able, but it is not required – all are welcome!
- Sunday, August 20th is our Marriage Re-Envisioned group for single women. Come join us as we learn the essentials of preparing for marriage. Whether you are single, divorced, or widowed we have a place for you! We meet every 1st & 3rd Sunday right after service in SLC Classroom B. You may bring lunch with you.
- Sunday, August 20th is when Bridge Moms meet to cook the meal for our Bridge Young Adults group. We cook every 1st & 3rd Sunday. 2:30pm-6:30pm – Prep to clean up. This group requires a food handlers license (license fee reimbursed upon completion), so if you are interested in joining, please reach out directly to Pastor Cathy: cgrigg@emic.org
- Monday, August 21st we have our Table Talk (65 and Beyond) group. This group is for women (65 years of age and beyond). We have fellowship around the Word of God and with each other. They meet at 11:30 am at Cattleman’s Ridge every 3rd Monday.
- Monday, August 21st is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. Join us as we study Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! We meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom! Radiant Discipleship Registration
- Tuesday, August 22nd is our Growing From Glory to Glory group. A time to enjoy the Word of God, good teaching, and light refreshments with other women of EMIC. They meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at 12:15 pm & 6:00pm in the Hospitality Room.
- Thursday, August 24th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
