We are born of God with His very own Spirit living inside us, to teach and direct us. We no longer are just in the world. We have already been translated (at the new birth) out of the kingdom of darkness and into the kingdom of His dear Son. We are living and operating in the kingdom of God now (Colossians 1:13). But we can only operate in God's kingdom by His wisdom – His way of doing and being right!
But if you don't tap into the wisdom of God that is available to you as a believer, you will continue to live much the same way you did before you were born again. This is why the study of Proverbs is so important. Look at what we can get from Proverbs!
"Those who cling to these words will receive discipline to demonstrate wisdom in every relationship and to choose what is right and just and fair. 4These proverbs will give you great skill to teach the immature and make them wise, to give youth the understanding of their design and destiny." Proverbs 1:3-4 (TPT)
These words of wisdom are so plain and so easy to understand that even the young can receive prudence and discretion. Use Proverbs to teach your children to choose what is right. Start early and the wisdom of God will hold them steady all their lives. You don't have to wait until you are seventy-five years old to find out what works in life. God tells you what works!
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, October 26th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
- Saturday, October 28th is our Advancing in Faith group. This group is using Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s study guide, Bible Faith! We meet every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the Living Room modular at 9 am. This group is also available online via Zoom. - Monday, October 30th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. Join us as we study Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! We meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom! Radiant Discipleship Registration
- Wednesday, November 1st is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God, and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
- Thursday, November 2nd is our monthly Radiant Book Club meeting. We meet every 1st Thursday at 12:15 pm in the WordWorks Bookstore. The book selected for our November discussion is Paul's System of Truth by Mark Hankins.
