Radiant Happenings! April 11th

It's been another AMAZING week! We had a GREAT WORD from Pastor Terri on Sunday, followed by a Solar eclipse on Monday! Could it get any more AMAZING? Yes! Yes it can! Tonight, Thursday, we have our monthly Radiant meeting where we will unpack the last portion of Pastor Terri's message, and also discuss why attending the Passover Seder is important. THEN… Saturday, we have our Radiant Day Out at the American Journey Experience museum where we will be equipped with information about our nation that we can use as another tool when someone questions why we believe the way we do!

Now for this week's verse in Proverbs 2:

"He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity," Proverbs 2:7 (AMPC)

Of course, not just everyone can find God's wisdom. Only those who are ready for it, who desire and seek after God with all their heart, are willing to understand and receive His wisdom. God is always ready to be found, and His wisdom is always available. But those who don't seek Him don't find Him. The wisdom of God is hidden away, to be discovered only by those who serve Him, desire Him and give Him authority in their lives. You see, God isn't hiding His wisdom from us; He's hiding wisdom for us.

Listen to what the Kesuvim / The Writings (Mishlei/Proverbs) on pg. 17 say about verse seven:

Vs. 7 "He secures the eternal Torah for the upright. The commentators offer various reasons Torah is called tûšîyâ, which usually refers to wise counsel. According to Ibn Ezra, it is related to the word existent and substantial. The wisdom of the Torah exists eternally and will not revert to nothingness, as do worldly things (Metzudos)."

"It is a shield for those who walk in innocence. The Torah will protect them against the challenges and changing mores of the times (Radak)."
