Our Proverbs Chapter 2 Study
"None who go to her return again, neither do they attain or regain the paths of life." Proverbs 2:19 (AMPC)
As a reminder, this portion of Proverbs is talking about those that ignore or disregard wisdom. From verse 19, do you see why it's so important to take time in the Word and in prayer? You need to tell God every day, "I put You first place in my life. I know if I follow You, everything else in my life will fall in place. Show me where I'm wrong. Correct me. Instruct me. Reveal to me the things I need to know." Then whatever He says to you, do it!
It's hard for you to hear while you're busy watching television. If you are distracted with other things all the time, you can't expect to hear God clearly on a regular basis. You have to give Him the opportunity to talk to you by setting aside time to get quiet, study His Word and pray.
Listen to what the Kesuvim / The Writings (Mishlei/Proverbs) on pg. 19 say about verse nineteen:
Vs. 19 "All who come to her do not return, nor do they attain the paths of life. Heresy is like a forbidden woman. Once one succumbs to temptation, it is extremely difficult to detach oneself and repent (Rashi; Metzudos)."
"Even if a heretic wants to repent, he may not fully purge himself of heresy's effect, because remnants of his earlier ideas will cling to him. Heresy is like, a leavening agent in dough, constantly affecting a person's mind (Malbim)."
- Thursday, June 27th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.

- Wednesday, July 3rd is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
