As you know, I've been meditating on the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 8. The verse I'm currently unpacking is, verse 20 (AMPC):
"And Jesus replied to him, Foxes have holes and the birds of the air have lodging places, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head."
This verse has been controversial among many scholars as some use it to prove that Jesus was poor and had no home. Other's on the other hand focus on the reason he even said it to begin with. And that is where I was led in my meditation. Why would Jesus even say such a thing in the first place? It was because many were asking to follow Him, but quite a few didn't truly understand the cost it would require for them to truly follow Him.
Luke 14:25-33 (AMPC) lays out (by our Lord Himself), what the cost to be His disciples is, and why we need to "count the cost." Take a moment to read that now, and as you do, ask yourself if you have, are, and will do what He is saying is required to follow Him. Before you answer, check with the Holy Spirit and really search inwardly – you may discover there are actually things you have not been willing to let go of to TRULY follow Him!
I believe once you have truly let go of all to follow Him, you will find the more, and more, and more, and more that Brother Copeland prophesied about this year!

The Christmas season is here, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you! Join us for our Radiant Christmas Party on Thursday, December 12th, at 7:00 PM in the Headquarters Dining Room.
Details:
• Doors Open: 6:15 PM
• Dress Code: Festive Attire
• Activities: Fun games, Christmas songs, a special Christmas message, and lots of holiday cheer!
• Menu: Beef pot roast w/potatoes & carrots, a hot cocoa bar, and Christmas cookies!!
• Giving Back:
• We are collecting food items and unwrapped toys to donate to Life Unlimited.
• For each donation, you will receive a ticket to enter our special giveaway!
• End-of-Year Christmas Gifts:
• All registered attendees will receive a special Christmas gift! Gifts will be given based on registration, so only those who register will be eligible to receive one.
