Open The Prison Doors

Hebrews 13:1-3 TPT “No matter what, make room in your heart to love every believer. And show hospitality to strangers, for they may be angels from God showing up as your guests. Identify with those who are in prison as though you were there suffering with them, and those who are mistreated as if you could feel their pain.”

When the period of shelter in place began in 2020 during the COVID pandemic, families and businesses were not the only things affected; it completely shut the doors to onsite prison ministry. Only recently have some prisons allowed group services to be held in person. But they are still not open to individual ministry inside the units.

It’s been 3 years now since we’ve been able to take a group of volunteers inside to share Jesus with these inmates. There are currently more than 2 million incarcerated here in the United States. This is one of the largest groups of unchurched people and we’ve been unable to reach them in person for so long now. But the Lord is still working in the prisons!

We need to continually be praying for our prison ministry. We believe the doors will be open to us soon but until then, our team members on the KCM Prayer Lines and in the KCM Mail Department have never stopped corresponding with these inmates.

Being able to utilize Every Available Voice has never been more important than it is now. We’re so thankful that God still gives us open doors for ministry when the world has been successful in shutting others.

Please partner with us by praying for the prison doors to be opened once again to ministry, for the hearts of the inmates to be ready to receive, and for the willingness of the prison staff to accommodate ministers and volunteers. It’s time to bring VICTORY once again to the incarcerated!
