Mature Manhood Pt. 1

“The Men of EMIC must remain in a state of spiritual readiness!”

 – Pastor George Pearsons

What is the measure of a man?

The world is attempting to control the narrative on gender identity, but God has the first and final word established at creation. Discovering His final word on the matter begins at the beginning when God made man.

Genesis 1:26 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Here we see man established. He was established in God’s image or expression, in God’s likeness or character and with God’s authority having dominion over all. Case closed!

When Adam sinned by his disobedience he fell out of the image and likeness of God and surrendered his authority. From that moment God put into a motion a plan to restore man back into His image, likeness and authority through His Son, Jesus as stated in Romans 8:29.

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

As now the firstborn among many brethren Jesus becomes the Adam-replacement restoring our image, likeness and authority we lost and regained in-Him. We also need to revisit the Garden to establish what was man to do.

Genesis 2:15-17 Then the Lord God took [a]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [b]tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[c] shall surely die.”

Before woman was made from man God established 4 primary areas in a man’s life. According to the scriptures above He:

  1. Gave man responsibility. To tend means to care for and to give one’s attention to. Adam’s oversight, prayers and management of the land was his responsibility. This is also our responsibility today. To tend to our nation by prayer and involvement in matters pertaining to our nation – actively.
  2. Gave man an opportunity to exercise righteousness and be in right-standing with God through his obedience. Tending the garden, taking dominion, not eating from the forbidden tree were all commands given to Adam to exercise his free will and show his love for God through willful obedience. Obedience to His Word is how we show our love for God today (John 14:15, 1 John 5:3).
  3. Made man aware of his abundance. God said of EVERY tree you may eat. Adam was empowered by his knowledge of being totally surrounded with the abundance of God. Today, the blessing has been restored to us by Christ Jesus and we have access to all we need from God.
  4. Taught Adam the consequences of disobedience, that sin would lead to death. God’s Word edifies us in the understanding of how sin can lead to spiritual death and separation from God.

Confession over the 7 Rewards of the Fast

Father, we ask for a mighty and sustained manifestation of Your wonderful glory in this current season; manifesting Your majestic presence, Your awesome power, Your extravagant goodness that brings:

1. An awakening to You in the body of Christ; waking us out of our apathy, complacency and lethargy!

 2. An awakening to You in Israel – the apple of Your eye!

 3. An awakening to You in the United States and the nations! As we agree with our founding fathers that we are one nation under the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and George Washington with Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

 4. Godly results in all elections in 2024; that they be free of all fraud, deceit and immoral manipulation; and that righteous candidates will win the hearts of the voters
