2012–A Year Full of Surprises & Suddenlies

With every passing day, I am amazed and grateful for the goodness of God in our lives. I receive many wonderful reports that our congregation is being blessed beyond measure—from financial miracles, to physical healings, to family restorations. We are seeing the windows of heaven opened above us and THE BLESSING pouring out!

The Lord has also been so good to reveal what we need to know about this year. He has given us powerful, prophetic words such as “What About 2012?,” a prophecy given to Brother Copeland in November 2011. We have learned from this prophecy that God has a great storehouse. Much more has been stored up there than what the Church has ever called for. We are becoming “bold to lay hold” on this great storehouse of riches.

Let’s look at a portion of this awesome word from the Lord:

2012 is a year full of surprises. Some surprises are going to shake people up. Some surprises are going to shake people down. But for those who are listening to My voice, those who have made themselves available to My Spirit and to My Word, you’ll have surprises. Oh, not like the world and not like a lot of carnally minded Christians. Your surprises will come as suddenlies, like in My Word when it says, “And suddenly there came upon them.”

Our instructions are very clear. We can experience surprises and suddenlies as long as we listen to His voice, make ourselves available to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and pay attention to the Word of God. His Word must become first place and final authority in our lives. Proverbs 4:20-22 says, “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.”

The 2012 prophecy continues:

And you’ll stand up with a big smile on your face and say, ‘I just got a suddenly, didn’t I?’ Oh, yes! But, it will not take you by surprise because I said in My Word that I would show you things to come. I said in My Word that what I speak, the Holy Ghost will hear, and He will speak it to you.

The Lord is referring to John 16:13. “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.” Yielding to the Holy Spirit will help us to develop a deeper awareness of those great things that are to come.

More of the prophecy:

And there are those of you who are seeking My voice and seeking My Word and seeking My Name and looking at Me in My face, while I’m looking at you in your face. And together, we will walk in this, and together, we will walk through this. And there will come a time when you will just smile at Me, and I will just smile at you, and you will say, “Ha, ha, ha! I knew that all the time. Praise God! My Father showed me that was coming, and I was all prepared, and it did not come on me suddenly.”

Surprises and suddenlies come from seeking first the kingdom of God. They come through our continual fellowship with the Father. The more we seek Him, the more we know Him. The more we know Him, the more we are able to receive from His great storehouse.

Finally, there is a realm of THE BLESSING that reaches far above all that we could dare ask or think. It goes beyond our wildest imagination.

The Lord continued:

But this other surprise that came on me—oh, what joy! Oh, what thrill! Oh, what goodness! I wonder what else my Father has in store for me?

As your pastor, I strongly admonish you to expect surprises and suddenlies! Expect them every moment of every day. Expect them to come on you and overtake you. Expect to live in the provision of Psalm 68:19, which says, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits.”

Say this aloud right now: Father, I thank You for this word from heaven. I open my heart right now to expect daily surprises and suddenlies. I rejoice and give You thanksgiving for every magnificent surprise and suddenly that will overtake my life.

Expecting surprises and suddenlies with you!

Pastor George

P.S. Surprises and suddenlies will also manifest as great wealth and divine opportunities. Here is another word that Brother Copeland received concerning 2012 that, I believe, will encourage you:  “It is a time of great wealth for you, a time of great opportunities. Continue to stay in My rest. Heaven’s release is continuing to increase. It is building up. Enjoy it! It’s working!”
