Praise God for 2024!
The word of The LORD came to Brother Copeland on Dec. 5, 2023. He declared by the Holy Spirit: In 2024, we will be standing on Victory Shore. We launch out into the deep, and a great harvest we will reap. We are standing on Victory Shore in 2024!
Whatever you may be experiencing right now, claim that you are standing on Victory Shore. How do you do that? By faith! First John 5:4 (New Living Translation) declares, “For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.”
Thank you for your faithfulness to EMIC! We so appreciate your supply of the Spirit and your diligence in prayer for us. Pastor Terri and I are in agreement for your BLESSING according to 2 Corinthians 9:8 (Amplified Bible, Classic Edition): “God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”
Together, we are ministering to both our local community and to the world. Every Sunday, we know there are more than 10,000 households worldwide watching our EMIC service. That figure does not even include Dish, DirecTV, Comcast and all the other outlets on which we broadcast!
As you know, we recently completed our 21-day “Daniel fast.” Praise God for the open rewards promised in Matthew 6:18 (AMPC) that says, “Your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open.” Thank You, LORD, for the open rewards of this fast!
The fast is over. Now what? Do we go back to the way we were eating, spend hours on social media or binge-watch movies?
“NO!” VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, “NO!”
We have gained some very important spiritual ground and must refuse to go back to the way we were. We need to do what the Apostle Paul wrote in Philippians 3:14: “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
Hebrews 10:38-39 declares, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.”
How do we do that effectively? By living a fasted life. A fasted life must become a lifestyle.
One way we do this is by making a quality decision to have as much contact with this natural world as it takes to exist—nothing more.
Colossians 3:1-3 says, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” We make a lifestyle of reading The WORD, praying, ministering to The LORD—and engaging in times of fasting.
Kenneth E. Hagin asked The LORD about the fasted life. The LORD told him to: Never eat all you want. Keep your appetite under. That’s what fasting does. He also said that he, “made greater spiritual strides…by living the fasted life.”1
Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:27, “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection.” How did he do that? Second Corinthians 11:27 says, “In fastings often.”
What does the “fasted life” produce?
Fasting is one of the ways to shed the low life. Matthew 10:39 (AMPC) tells us, “Whoever finds his [lower] life will lose it [the higher life], and whoever loses his [lower] life on My account will find it [the higher life].”
Living a fasted life enables us to continually throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles (Hebrews 12:1, New International Version). It will help us run our race with greater perseverance. Why? Because we are no longer weighed down by the flesh and its demands.
Living the fasted life keeps us tapped into the power Source. It puts us in a greater position to receive from God and prepares us for what is coming. It helps us do those things which are pleasing to The LORD and keeps the doors open to answers, direction, clarity and breakthroughs.
As The LORD leads, periodically take time to fast a meal—or even fast for a day. Live in a perpetual state of fasting.
The more we consecrate ourselves to God and separate from the world, the greater the spiritual gains we will experience.
Living the fasted life with you,
Pastor George
