Election Instructions

The Awakening is here! The former and the latter rain are pouring down on us. Waves of God’s glory are sweeping across the nations. We are in the midst of the manifestation of Isaiah 60:1-2: “Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of The LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but The LORD will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you” (New King James Version).

The glory of God is the presence of God, heavy with everything good. Psalm 31:19 declares, “How great is your goodness, which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow in the sight of men, on those who take refuge in you” (New International Version, 1984). I believe His glory is being manifested in every area of your life—including your giving.

I speak increase over your and your family’s finances. God is prospering His people so we can be blessed to be a blessing. Expect it! Receive the promise of Psalm 115:14 right now: “The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children.” Shout, “Every bill is paid, every debt removed, every need supplied with much left over!”

I have been praying over our upcoming elections. Many on both sides of the aisle are angry, confused or in fear over the outcome. Some are refusing to vote. It is vital that we have God’s perspective on the elections. Here are three things He instructed me to share with you:

1. Have faith in God!
Recently, Brother Copeland, Bishop Keith Butler, David Barton and I taped a two-week BVOV election series special that will air in October. It’s called: Faith for Our Nation. As the host, my first question to the panel was, “What do we say to those who are angry, confused or in fear over the elections?” There was silence for a few moments. I looked at Brother Copeland. In a booming voice, he shouted, “Have faith in God!” We must use our faith and believe God that this is the greatest hour our nation has ever seen. We must roll the care over on Him, refuse to fear, and hold fast to our faith for this nation.

2. Read the party platforms
Brother Copeland gave me an assignment before the 2012 elections. He said, “George, you need to take the two political platforms and preach on those points. Look at what the two parties say about key issues. Compare the platforms to God’s WORD, and then, determine which platform best aligns with how the kingdom of God operates.” For example, identify each party’s platform plank concerning abortion. I think we know where God stands.

Remember what The LORD told Brother Copeland many years ago about this: Tell my people wherever you go—those who vote for politicians, knowing their immoral policies and platforms and illegal acts, had better repent. They are partners with those politicians and will be held responsible for every baby’s death. And, you can’t get out of it by not voting. I’ll hold you responsible for voting for the wrong one if you do that. Serious words indeed! Someone recently said, “The politicians don’t pay any attention to the platforms.” The response to that is: God pays attention to the platforms, and He will hold politicians responsible.

3. Turn off the News
Stop watching the news. Those people are not for you. They are all about money, ratings and sponsors. Remember, they create conflict and drama, all backed by a soundtrack and graphics to hold our attention. I recommend you completely silence the news and focus on The WORD. Watch the Believers’ Voice of Victory Network (BVOVN). Listen to The WORD. Fast the news and get quiet on the inside so you can more clearly hear the voice of The LORD. Pray much in other tongues!

“Father, we pray over our nation. We determine to stay in faith. We roll all the care of this election over onto You. We refuse to fear. In Jesus’ Name, we receive godly men and women into leadership in our nation. We believe for a massive Awakening in Washington, D.C., and declare that Awakening is reaching into every local, state and national elected office in the land. Together, we declare that Jesus is LORD over the United States of America!”

Standing in faith for our nation,
Pastor George
