Thank you for your faithfulness to EMIC and for bringing your supply of the Spirit. My vision
for you is that your every need and every bill is paid with much left over, and that you have amazing
opportunities to reach out to and meet the needs of others. That’s what vision is all about!

I recently had the privilege of interviewing Pastors Andre and Jenny Roebert on Inside the
Vision. They are definitely a visionary couple. They have a massive church in East London, South
Africa, that seats 11,000 people. Andre and Jenny weren’t sure how they were going to pay for
the renovation of the old warehouse building they bought until The LORD said, The money is in
the floor.

During the renovation, they uncovered very rare and expensive wood under the top flooring.
When Brother Copeland asked them how much they received after selling the wood, Pastor Andre
answered, “More than enough!” It was more than enough to finish purchasing and renovating the
entire facility.

During my interview with them, I received some very fresh revelation regarding vision. In a
nutshell, the point of the entire interview was focused on these powerful words:

“Vision is not about us. Vision is about others.”

Many years ago, Pastor Andre was driving in South Africa when an emergency call came
across his FM radio. It was a life-threatening situation and airlifting an injured child was needed.
Apparently, no aircraft was available. Pastor Andre pulled over and began to weep. He shouted,
“LORD, if You’ll give me the tools, I will make sure this call never comes over the radio again!” It
was at that moment The LORD dropped a vision in his heart.

Andre began to believe God for an aircraft to airlift others! He applied for the licenses,
learned how to fly, and designed a stretcher to fit into an airplane. When all the requirements
were completed, The LORD supplied a beautiful twin-engine, turboprop aircraft. He converted
the interior into a flying ambulance and began airlifting patients!

One day, Pastor Andre thought, What in the world am I doing? I am a pastor, not an
ambulance flyer! The LORD answered him: You called out to Me when you saw a need. No one
else answered that call. You gave Me the opportunity, and I placed the vision in you. The vision
produced the provision for what you needed.

Andre continued to fly the air ambulance until, one day, a businessman called who said,
“Sir, I have been watching what you are doing. I have a jet airplane that I want to give you. It
is bigger, better and faster than what you are currently flying.” The jet manifested because of
Pastor Andre’s obedience to help others.

The LORD told Pastor Andre, If you will do what I ask you to do for others, you will never
lack in what I will do for you.

The bottom line is this:

Meeting the needs of others has been the driving force behind every vision Pastors Andre and Jenny have had.

Philippians 2:4 in the New American Standard Bible-95 states, “Do not merely look out for
your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.” Everyone needs to get a vision
for someone else. Our highest motivation for vision is meeting the needs of others.

Everything will fit into place once our motivation is right. Pastor Andre said, “What can
you do to get involved with a vision of helping others? Get your eyes off yourself and get them
on others.” Together, let’s make an adjustment in our thinking. Vision from God will flow once we
make the decision to meet the needs of others. Once we are obedient, the provision for the vision
will flow mightily.

The greatest Visionary is God Himself. John 3:16-17 is His vision. The New International
Version says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever
believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world
to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

What a vision! And, that vision is ours, as well. Allow God’s vision to flow through you to
meet the needs of others.

Praise God for vision!

Pastor George

PS. Mark and Trina Hankins will be joining us for church Sunday, Oct. 22 at 10 a.m. I am so
looking forward to our time with them! They always have a word in season for EMIC!

Biblical word definitions in the Greek and in Hebrew often reveal different intended descriptions than what we translate in our own English language definitions. One example of that is believing that kindness reflects niceness or niceties in the Bible and attaching that description to the character of Jesus. The problem with that is that there is no scripture identifying Jesus as nice but instead – kind. Kindness in the Greek is the word “chrestos” which is defined as: fit for use and virtuous. “Or do you not presume on the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance” Romans 2:4 ESV The kindness of God has a goal: to develop you, transform you, correct you and empower you. Kindness teaches but niceness appeases. If Jesus wanted to be nice, He would have calmed the storm before He asked Peter to step out of the boat and walk on the water. Instead, it was the kindness of Jesus extending His hand to Peter for the purpose of developing his faith during the storm. “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8 ESV We can see here that justice and humility are grouped with kindness. Being nice can subvert justice from a place of not getting involved but kindness demands action for the greater good. Please see the men’s breakfast video and Ps. “The chaos of the end times will require the spiritual focus of disciplined men” -Ps. Al Men, during our March Men’s Breakfast we discussed the need to increase good godly habits in order to grow as men of God so that we will better hear Him and take on His image. “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.” Proverbs 25:28 ESV Developing a disciplined life requires us to not just stop doing unfruitful things but also filling those voids with doing things that edify and mature you in Christ. 7 Holy Habits (disciplines) to grow into Mature Manhood Increase your daily intake of God’s Word.
