The Era of Spiritual Fathers During our October Men’s Breakfast Ps. Al shared from a Word from God about the last prophecy that were the last words of the Old Testament. That last prophecy of the Old Covenant was Malachi 4:5-6: Behold I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great AND DREADFUL DAY OF THE Lord: and He shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. The last words from the Old Testament were a prophetic promise of a convergence of fathers and children with their hearts coming together in the end times. Living a Legacy That Honors Jesus Not too long ago, we witnessed now one of history’s most horrific events. The assassination of a true patriot and man of courage and Faith, Charlie Kirk. When asked not too long ago what He would want to be remembered by if he died. His response was simple but powerful. “I want to be remembered by my courage for my faith.” How do you want to be remembered? Not for titles, achievements, or applause, but for courage in your faith. For standing boldly for Jesus, the Son of the Living God. The most important thing in life is not what we build, but who we become. Becoming like Jesus. “The most important thing you can do is to be born anew into the kingdom of God.” Jesus at the Center Worship reminds us: Jesus is the center of it all. He is not just part of our story; He is the story. He doesn’t just have the message; He is the message. The Gospel is not a side message; it is the message that transforms lives. Wake-Up Call: A Legacy Worth Living Psalm 78:1–32 calls us to remember and retell the works of God. It’s a generational mandate, to pass on the truth, the miracles, and the faithfulness of God. We are called to awaken, to rise from spiritual slumber and live lives that shine with Christ. “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” — Ephesians 5:14 The Gospel: The Message That Endures The Gospel is not just a story, it’s the power of God to redeem and restore. The Gospel is the Birth , Life, Death, Resurrection, and the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus. This is the message that saves, heals, and sets free. It’s not our talents or testimonies; it’s Jesus and only Jesus. Your Past Doesn’t Disqualify You God never consults your past to determine your future. Scripture is filled with men who failed, yet were used mightily: • Adam disobeyed — still became the father of humanity. • David sinned — still called a man after God’s heart. • Peter denied Christ — still preached at Pentecost. • Paul persecuted believers — still wrote much of the New Testament. God doesn’t call the perfect — He perfects the called. Living the Message If you had one last message to preach, let it be Jesus. Let it look like love, sacrifice, and death to self. Be Jesus with skin on, as my spiritual mother in the faith gospel legend, evangelist and songwriter Nancy Harmon said to me many years ago. I can still hear her say her most famous words “I am bound to a cause far greater than myself.” She truly lived this. She loved people, but most of all she loved God. Legacy Questions for Every Man “Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” — Proverbs 19:21 • How do you want to be remembered? • How does that align with your God-given purpose? • What can you do now to live that life — in your walk, speech, actions, and thoughts? • What steps will you take to know Jesus and preach His message? Removing the Obstacles that get in the way of His presence God’s glory entered our Men’s Breakfast in August as many answered the call to remove all obstacles that get in the way of entering into His presence – HIS WAY! We learned that we must come to God on His terms and not on our terms. That was the sin of the Israelites as some scholars believed that the golden calf was created as a vessel for God to ride on that he may enter into ‘their’ presence of compromise. “And all the people brake off the golden earrings which were in their ears, and brought them to Aaron. And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said these be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made a proclamation, and said, To morrow is a feast to the LORD. And they rose up early on the morrow, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose to play” Exodus 32:2-6 “God will not meet you on your terms, but He will meet you where you are if you pursue Him with pure heart”. – Ps. Al “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts you double-minded”. James 4:8 In James 4:8 we have our instructions on how to approach God; clean hands that are repented and a pure heart or a heart that has the right intentions – to know God better. In Joshua 7, God’s presence was removed from Joshua’s army and they lost the first battle against Ai. Joshua pleaded with the Lord to know why and the Lord revealed that one of Joshua’s men, Achan, had disobediently taken of the spoils of war and mixed among his possessions – the blessed things given by God. So the Lord said to Joshua: “Get up! Why do you lie thus on your face? Israel has sinned, and they have transgressed My covenant which I have commanded them For they have taken some of the accursed things, and have both stolen and deceived; and they have also put it among their own stuff.” Joshua 7:10-11 The Lord’s presence and power will not dwell amongst the environment of mixture we create. We cannot be in His presence on our terms of compromise but on His terms of purity. It is not about being perfect but about submitting to His ways and having a pure heart of pursuit. Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. We have dominion over our house! During the July Men’s Breakfast Pastor George delivered a powerful word and call to action to the men of EMIC. He said that we were created to be an exact duplicate of God having His prevailing and ruling authority to bring all things under dominion-control. Servant Leadership: THE POWER OF humility We don’t often equate being humble with having power. There are characteristics that work in the spirit realm through the fruit of the Spirit that do not align with the world. Examples of that are Peace and the force of peace to calm a storm, Love and the might of love to conquer fear and death and Humility and the power of humility to give us access to grace for more of the power of God. Humility supplies and multiplies everything that grace provides. – Ps. Al Velez “But He gives us more grace (power of the Holy Spirit, to meet this evil tendency and all others fully). That is why He says, God sets Himself against the proud and haughty, but gives grace [continually] to the lowly (those who are humble enough to receive it). James 4:6 AMPC More grace to the humble = more access to His power. That’s the power of humility. Becoming a servant leader begins with the greatest example – Jesus Christ. “Have this mind among yourselves that is also in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on the cross. Therefore, God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven, on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. How To Lead Your Family – David Mitchell Men are designed to lead the family from a position of spiritual strength. – David Mitchell During our April Men’s Breakfast David Mitchell delivered a powerful message challenging the men to stand guard for their families. He shared how this principle began with God’s original intention starting with creation in the garden. Genesis 8:15 And the Lord God took man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and guard and keep it. To guard it – implies protecting, keeping watch over, or maintaining. Your sphere of influence – wife, children, family, employer, church need you to be a strong man. Your wife or children were never called to lead the family – your shoulders were made to support headship – your wife cannot walk into all the things she is called to do, if she is having to pick up your leadership void. The absence of strong leadership from men leaves a place for predators to come on the scene and cause harm to the very ones we are called to lead, guide and protect. Paul’s Championship Faith Our Mission Statement: Take a group of people and disciple them intensely in the Word of God. Teach them an UNCOMMON FAITH to help them stand victoriously in life. Drill them. That is the only way to overcome the world. 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world: and this is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith. The development of our faith into strong overcoming faith is the faith of champions. Faith Confessions: My faith is alive in 2025 My faith is activated My faith is working My faith is producing results My capacity for greater faith is enlarging My faith is growing exceedingly We are undefeatable, unstoppable, unbreakable and invincible. – Ps. George Paul the Apostle was a faith champion! Despite the challenges of imprisonment Paul was able to overcome a dark, depressing and demoralizing environment and turn it into an inspiration producing 4 very important books in the New Testament: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians and Philemon. How was he able to do that? By using his faith to win the battle of the mind! When you understand the perspective of the environment Paul was in and you read the books he wrote while in that prison you realize that Paul was using his words to position his mind in a place of victory. His spoken words were captured for the Ephesian church and our benefit teaching us to speak words of faith and not fear. Ephesians provides revelation on how Paul was able to be “strong IN the Lord and in the power of His might” – Eph 6:10. Ephesians 3:1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ for you Gentiles… Ephesians 4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord… Ephesians 6:20 for which I am an ambassador in chains… In each of the examples in the book of Ephesians above, Paul never called himself a prisoner of Rome, but of the Lord, an ambassador of heaven. Paul was weighing his words through the filter of faith. When he did that while being led by the Spirit, his words became eternal, and God ordained. When we do the same thing, our words become eternal, and our minds become renewed and fixed on things above. This is how we stay “in-Christ” which Paul referenced so often in Ephesians. Ephesians 4:23-24 “and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.” See the attached March Men’s Breakfast teaching and video for deeper insights into Paul’s championship faith for us to imitate. Confession over our Championship Year Father, we ask for a mighty and sustained manifestation of Your wonderful glory in this current season; manifesting Your majestic presence, Your awesome power, Your extravagant goodness that brings: 1. An awakening to You in the body of Christ; waking us out of our apathy, complacency and lethargy! 2. An awakening to You in Israel – the apple of Your eye! 3. Protection and wisdom for President Trump and those called to his side as he leads our nation under Your providential hand. 4. Your glory to be made manifest in our church, Your body – the church, our school campuses, our nation and the world. 5. Breakthroughs of growth, prosperity, influence and favor for our ministry leaders, KCM, EMIC, KCBC and the Victory Channel. 6. Personal prosperity and breakthroughs (answers, direction and clarity) for every church member and partner of this ministry. 7.
