“The Men of EMIC must remain in a state of spiritual readiness!”

 – Pastor George Pearsons

What is the measure of a man?

The world is attempting to control the narrative on gender identity, but God has the first and final word established at creation. Discovering His final word on the matter begins at the beginning when God made man.

Genesis 1:26 26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [a]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

Here we see man established. He was established in God’s image or expression, in God’s likeness or character and with God’s authority having dominion over all. Case closed!

When Adam sinned by his disobedience he fell out of the image and likeness of God and surrendered his authority. From that moment God put into a motion a plan to restore man back into His image, likeness and authority through His Son, Jesus as stated in Romans 8:29.

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

As now the firstborn among many brethren Jesus becomes the Adam-replacement restoring our image, likeness and authority we lost and regained in-Him. We also need to revisit the Garden to establish what was man to do.

Genesis 2:15-17 Then the Lord God took [a]the man and put him in the garden of Eden to [b]tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you[c] shall surely die.”

Before woman was made from man God established 4 primary areas in a man’s life. According to the scriptures above He:

  1. Gave man responsibility. To tend means to care for and to give one’s attention to. Adam’s oversight, prayers and management of the land was his responsibility. This is also our responsibility today. To tend to our nation by prayer and involvement in matters pertaining to our nation – actively.
  2. Gave man an opportunity to exercise righteousness and be in right-standing with God through his obedience. Tending the garden, taking dominion, not eating from the forbidden tree were all commands given to Adam to exercise his free will and show his love for God through willful obedience. Obedience to His Word is how we show our love for God today (John 14:15, 1 John 5:3).
  3. Made man aware of his abundance. God said of EVERY tree you may eat. Adam was empowered by his knowledge of being totally surrounded with the abundance of God. Today, the blessing has been restored to us by Christ Jesus and we have access to all we need from God.
  4. Taught Adam the consequences of disobedience, that sin would lead to death. God’s Word edifies us in the understanding of how sin can lead to spiritual death and separation from God.

Men, I look forward to our next month’s journey into Mature Manhood until we all achieve the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ!

Men, lets continue to join our faith, together by the glory of God believing for the 7 rewards of the fast:

Confession over the 7 Rewards of the Fast

Father, we ask for a mighty and sustained manifestation of Your wonderful glory in this current season; manifesting Your majestic presence, Your awesome power, Your extravagant goodness that brings:

1. An awakening to You in the body of Christ; waking us out of our apathy, complacency and lethargy!

 2. An awakening to You in Israel – the apple of Your eye!

 3. An awakening to You in the United States and the nations! As we agree with our founding fathers that we are one nation under the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and George Washington with Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

 4. Godly results in all elections in 2024; that they be free of all fraud, deceit and immoral manipulation; and that righteous candidates will win the hearts of the voters

 5. Breakthroughs of growth, prosperity, influence and favor for KCM, EMIC, KCBC and the Victory Channel

 6. Personal breakthroughs (answers, direction and clarity) for every member and partner of this ministry

 7. And complete preparation in spirit, soul and body for all that is coming.

 – To God be the all the glory, amen!

Biblical word definitions in the Greek and in Hebrew often reveal different intended descriptions than what we translate in our own English language definitions. One example of that is believing that kindness reflects niceness or niceties in the Bible and attaching that description to the character of Jesus. The problem with that is that there is no scripture identifying Jesus as nice but instead – kind. Kindness in the Greek is the word “chrestos” which is defined as: fit for use and virtuous. “Or do you not presume on the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance” Romans 2:4 ESV The kindness of God has a goal: to develop you, transform you, correct you and empower you. Kindness teaches but niceness appeases. If Jesus wanted to be nice, He would have calmed the storm before He asked Peter to step out of the boat and walk on the water. Instead, it was the kindness of Jesus extending His hand to Peter for the purpose of developing his faith during the storm. “He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8 ESV We can see here that justice and humility are grouped with kindness. Being nice can subvert justice from a place of not getting involved but kindness demands action for the greater good. Please see the men’s breakfast video and Ps. Al’s teaching attached below and let’s be men that operate in the kindness of God! 7 Holy Habits (disciplines) to grow into Mature Manhood Increase your daily intake of God’s Word. Starting your day in the Word. Guard your heart, especially against offense. Increase your prayer life, praying intentionally rather than routinely. Keep your heart sensitive to the Holy Spirit through obedience to the Word and His promptings. Choose godly wisdom over neutral or emotionally-driven options. Practice fasting as a regular spiritual discipline. Look for opportunities to serve, disciple, and mentor others. “The chaos of the end times will require the spiritual focus of disciplined men” -Ps. Al Men, during our March Men’s Breakfast we discussed the need to increase good godly habits in order to grow as men of God so that we will better hear Him and take on His image. “A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.” Proverbs 25:28 ESV Developing a disciplined life requires us to not just stop doing unfruitful things but also filling those voids with doing things that edify and mature you in Christ. 7 Holy Habits (disciplines) to grow into Mature Manhood Increase your daily intake of God’s Word.
