Walk through a daily devotional with us!
Day 1 With Cathy Grigg
Romans 5:13 tells us that we can have JOY and PEACE by the Holy Spirit, and that we can BUBBLE OVER with hope! In a time where it may feel as though fear and worry are running rampant, we want to encourage you today to be thankful for all of the BLESSINGS in your life! It is important to foster an attitude of thankfulness and remind ourselves of the goodness of God. Comment below with something you are thankful for today, and know we are praying for you!
Day 2 With Charity Shelton
“As a woman of God – you can have peace!” It is so powerful to know that by focusing on JESUS we can have peace that transcends whatever situation we are facing. But, as Charity shares with us today in Day 2 of our Two Week Devotional, we have to do our part in receiving peace! We can do that by focusing our thoughts on HIM. However, we cannot do that by simply focusing on Him only in our natural mind - we cannot fight thoughts with thoughts, we must fight thoughts with WORDS! Words are a tool that God has given us, and one way we, as women of faith, can use our words is through expressing gratitude and thankfulness! This thankfulness is ultimately what produces peace in our lives. Be encouraged today that peace is a promise of God! Let’s take hold of that promise today and stand on His Words!
Take some time today to either reply or share with someone around you 5 things that you are grateful for to help you fix your eyes on Jesus and receive the peace that passes understanding.
Day 3 With Brittany Barnes
Taking authority over sickness, disease, poverty, or any work of the devil isn’t just something we’re called to do individually – we are called to do it as a family! This can be done with your church family and with your family at home!
Watch as Brittany Barnes shares with us today on Day 3 of our Devotional how she implements taking authority in prayer with her children! Adults shouldn’t be the only ones with a prayer life – our children should be praying and learning how to communicate with God too! Just as Brittany says, in light of everything going on in our world right now, it’s important for our children to know that fear will not be tolerated and that we have the VICTORY! Take advantage of your extra time at home with them this week and teach them to take authority over every work of the devil, to speak the Word only, to pray in the Holy Spirit, and to have no fear! When you do, people will tangibly notice there is something different about you and your family!
Day 4 With Antoinette Stallworth
Listen to Day 4 of our Devotional as we talk about LOVE! We are all learning to love, and the only way we can learn to love is…PRACTICE. 1 Corinthians 13 tells us that love is the most important force of all!
Love is a choice we all get to make every day, and as Antoniette explains in our devo today, love is the mark of a mature believer. God’s Word instructs us to put away immaturity so that we can become like Love Himself. When we love, we become like God, and when maturity comes, we begin to see our Father face to face and to understand fully, as He already understands us. As you go through your day today, find ways to show love to those in your life, and ask yourself these questions:
1. Have I really accepted my heavenly father’s invitation to become love, like Him?
2. Am I yielding and submitting to the Holy Spirit to complete this work in my life?
Most importantly remember today that Love Himself loves you more than you could ever imagine!
Day 5 With Erin Zahner
Philippians 4:8 (TPT) says, “So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.”
This verse is beautiful, because it reminds us of what should have our true FOCUS. Today, for Day 5 of our Devotional, we’re talking about the importance of our attention and focus.
In times like these, it’s easy to allow the media, others, and even fear speak to us and distract us, unless we are intentional to focus our minds on the Word of God. When we fill our thoughts with HIS Words, His TRUE LIFE and RADIANT HEALTH abound to us! Isn’t that something we all need right now?
While it’s important to use wisdom and be informed, be encouraged today to allow the Word of God to have your full attention! All of us must attend to it, believe it, and apply it to our lives. Like Erin shared today, “What we focus on is what we draw to us.” Meditate on Him today and watch and see all of the BLESSING and GOODNESS that will be coming straight to you!
Comment below and share with us:
What helps you stay focused on God’s Word instead of being consumed by the media?
What passage of Scripture have you been meditating on this week?
Day 6 With Brittany Brookens
Lately, you may have felt out of your normal routine – there may be people you’re spending all your time with (family), and those you haven’t been able to see (co-workers, friends, etc.).
While that can be challenging, we still have the ability to reach out to those around us and show them the love of God! John 13 tells us that people know we are disciples of Christ by the way we LOVE one another. And guess what? Loving others is a COMMAND, not a suggestion.
As women filled with the power of God, we have the ability to love those around us, just as Jesus has loved us. That’s a high demand! But praise God! Because He is Love and He lives in us, the very love of God Himself is able to flow through us and into our community when we are yielded to him.
Take some time today and make a list of people you can reach out to – whether that’s through a phone call, text, email, etc. and make a QUALITY DECISION to show them God’s love today. There is power when we choose to love each other. So, go and be the love force of encouragement you were created to be!
Day 7 With Christy Nerren
Just as Christy and Mckinnley share in our devo – we don’t have to fear! Our Father knows what He is doing, and we can put our trust and confidence in Him and know that He is PERFECTING that which concerns us!
In this time, we have the opportunity to read the Word, spend time in His presence, have meaningful time with our loved ones, and REST! Something we can be reminded of today is what Pastor George says frequently, “I refuse the pressure and stress, I choose instead to enter the rest!” Let’s remember today to REST in the promises of Almighty God and know that He is completely in control.
As His children, we have nothing to dread, to fear, or to worry about. We have a Heavenly Father who is our Great Shepherd and knows exactly what we need. He sustains us, He comforts us, and He restores us. Be encouraged by that truth today, and don’t hesitate to share it with those around you ? Let us know how we can be praying for you today!
Day 8 With Janie Choate
LADIES! Today is the day that the Lord has made, so let us REJOICE and be GLAD in it (Ps. 118:24)!
Today, we are talking about JOY for Day 8 of our Devotional. Joy is something that is often interchanged or confused with the concept of happiness. However, they are not the same! Happiness is an emotion and is based on outward circumstances. Joy is not hinged on the circumstances of life, but comes from the Holy Spirit! It is actually one of the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT that we find in Galatians 5!As Janie shares with us, we have access to JOY UNSPEAKABLE AND FULL OF GLORY! And don’t you love the insight Janie shared with us? The Greek word for Joy is derived from the word GRACE. So, supernatural joy is at work in us by the grace of God!
Right now, in the midst of a world that has seemingly lost its joy, we can have joy unspeakable because the Greater One is alive and working on the inside of us. But, just like our faith, our joy must be intentionally cultivated. Be intentional today to CHOOSE joy, then watch the Holy Spirit Grace inside of you, produce it from the inside out. Let joy arise in you today despite any circumstance that may come your way, any report you may receive, any story you see on the news, or any attack from the enemy! As Brother Jerry Savelle famously says, “If satan can’t steal your joy, he can’t keep your goods!”
We love you and are praying for you today! You are on the VICTORY side!
Day 9 With Cembra Sanders
We all have them…but did you know that we are actually supposed to DO something with our thoughts? Like Cembra shares from 2 Corinthians 10 today, we have a choice of what to do with every thought! And just like this Scripture says, we are commanded to bring into captivity every thought, cast down imaginations, and pull down strongholds.
As Cembra explains, when a thought comes into our mind, we must know how to take it captive! This means that we hold it up to God and ask ourselves if it is a reflection of His heart and is in line with His Word. If we do this with our God thoughts and allow them into our lives, it produces faith and fruit! However, when we neglect to do this or allow negative thoughts into our lives, our thoughts can become imaginations and ultimately strongholds that can produce fear and anxiety! In a time where the world seems to be crippled by fear and anxiety, we must be intentional to take captive any thought that is not produced by the Holy Spirit inside of us. We must always remember to only allow the good thoughts – the things that glorify God and line up with HIS Word – to speak to us and have voice in our lives!Be encouraged today to separate yourself from voices in your life that are not yielding God thoughts, and to focus in on words that point you closer to the heart of your Father.
Day 10 With Mandy Barnett
“Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful. Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all wisdom. Apply the Scriptures as you teach and instruct one another with the Psalms, and with festive praises, and with prophetic songs given to you spontaneously by the Spirit, so sing to God with all your hearts! Let every activity of your lives and every word that comes from your lips be drenched with the beauty of our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One. And bring your constant praise to God the Father because of what Christ has done for you!” – Colossians 3:15-17, TPT
In the world we are living in right now, peace is SO IMPORTANT! We must have peace especially as women, who are carrying and transferring that spirit to our husbands, families, friends, and everywhere we go! Be reminded today that peace is rightfully yours! It was purchased, bought, and paid for by the blood of Jesus, which means it isn’t attached to the status of the economy, the world, or your daily circumstances. It resides inside of you! When you know that peace is rightfully yours, no circumstance can have the power to take it from you.Unfortunately, many people don’t know peace belongs to them. In fact, you might know someone, or even several people, who seem to have an absence of peace – especially in light of recent events. But praise God!
As Mandy shares with us this morning, we have the ability to allow peace to flow through us to minister to those around us! Today, we want to challenge you to lay hold of the peace that Jesus died to deliver into your life, and share it liberally with those around you! Like Colossians says, allow the peace of the Anointed One to guide you through your day, and know that in the process, you will bless others with God’s life giving peace in a chaotic world.
Day 11 With Jennifer Manning
Today, for Day 11 of our Devotional, Jennifer shares with us from the book of Joel. At that time, the people were in the midst of a crisis and a famine. Sounds a bit familiar, doesn’t it? But, God told them if they would cry out to him, he would answer them. Then, in Joel 2:21 the Lord said, “Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things!” Did you catch that? In the midst of a crisis, God told His people: DON’T BE AFRAID, BE GLAD NOW!
That doesn’t mean we should wait until all of this is over to rejoice! Often times, it can be tempting to wait until the breakthrough comes before we praise God. However, today we want to encourage you to PRAISE BEFORE THE BREAKTHROUGH!Like Jennifer shares with us today, NOW is the time to praise the Lord and thank Him for all that He has done. When we choose to praise God NOW, in the midst of fear and panic, we can trust the Word of God – that He WILL hear us, that He will PERFECT that which concerns us, and that He will heal our land.
We love you and are standing in faith with you today, ladies! Take some time to reflect on this passage of Scripture and let us know what YOU are praising God for today!
Day 12 With Marleth Lobato
Today, for Day 12 of our Devotional, we would like to focus on Psalm 91. This chapter of God’s Word contains our promises concerning COVENANT PROTECTION. In light of everything facing our country and our world today, it is crucial that we know and understand the RIGHT we have as blood bought believers to divine protection. Psalm 91 promises us that even when thousands may be falling around us, no plague, sickness, or disease will come near us! The devourer is rebuked and we have VICTORY because of all that our Jesus did for us. Isn’t that beautiful?
Day 13 With Bethany Greiner
Today, for Day 13 of our Devotional, we are talking about TRUST. Trust is something that is almost always tested when the unexpected comes! When something inconvenient or unexpected takes place in our lives, it can often be telling of what is truly in our heart. Some may fall into fear, panic, or even distress when something doesn’t go according to plan! But we must remember that as women of God, we carry peace wherever we go as a result of our unrelenting trust in our Father!
Day 14 With Kathryn Hanley
You have a PURPOSE and a DESTINY, and you were CREATED for such a time as this! Especially as women, we are created to use our words to encourage, support, empower, and speak the things of God into existence. In a time like this, it is imperative for us to use our WORDS to create the world we want to see.
As Kathryn shares with us today from Proverbs 4, we are commanded to attend to His Words, submit to His sayings, and to not allow it to depart from our eyes! What does that mean exactly? It means we need to be focused on what Jesus would say in and to the situation! Romans 4:17 says that our God speaks of the nonexistent things as if they already existed, which means we should be too!We cannot afford to fall into the temptation of just saying "its how it is” or allowing the news, media, etc. to determine the severity of this situation. If we do, we pollute the very fountain of power that God has given us to change our world! The enemy wants to pollute our mouths because he knows our mouth is our POWER! But be encouraged and strengthened in your resolution today to not give in to his lies. Be reminded that God’s Word in our mouth is just as powerful as God’s Word in His mouth!
While it can be trendy in this day and age to panic or to be afraid, we have a commandment from our Father to NOT BE AFRAID. So choose faith over fear today. Put His Word in your eyes and in your mouth. Speak what Jesus would be speaking. When you do, your victory through this situation will be on the firm foundation that can never be shaken.
Daily Devo Extended With Michelle Stephens
Today, Michelle Stephens shares with us about the Book of Esther, and it is amazing how many similarities we can draw between this book of the Bible and what is going on in our world right now!
Esther was not born a queen, but entered into royalty through marriage. Likewise, we too have become royalty as we've entered the Kingdom of God through our covenant with Him. And in the story of Esther, we see a young woman who, empowered by the power of God, was able to change her entire world and save an entire people through her bravery and faith. There are so many things she did that not only changed her life, but changed nations and the world. Just like Esther, what we are facing right is not only affecting us, but is affecting our entire world! In light of this, we have a part to play in this situation, to not only see our lives changed, but to see lives everywhere changed as well.Like Michelle shares, there were key elements in in the story of Esther that led to the will of God being done in her life. One of those key elements was PREPARATION. She went through an entire one year process before she was presented to the king; with part of that process being bathing in expensive oils and perfumes. She left a fragrance everywhere she went because of this preparation. Likewise, in this season, we've been called to prepare through PRAYER! Our prayers will be like a fragrant offering unto the Lord, and will leave evidence of the Kingdom everywhere we go. Additionally, Esther heeded the words of Mordecai, who is a type and shadow of the Holy Spirit. Similarly, we are called to heed to the words of the Holy Spirit in this time and know that even when the enemy has attacked our nation and our world, we have the victory through our obedience to God! Be encouraged today and know that Esther 4:14 is true in your life: "And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?"
Reflect on the story of Esther today and ask yourself what your part in this situation looks like. Be encouraged and know that you have everything you need ALREADY ON THE INSIDE OF YOU to overcome every attack and scheme of the evil one. We love you and are praying for you today!
Daily Devo Extended 2 With Aubrey Marbutt
Today, we want to talk to you about STRIFE. In a season where we’re all in pretty close quarters with our loved ones, this is a prime opportunity for the enemy to come in and stir up strife in our lives! However, it is crucial that we maintain our firm stance of faith and not allow him to have any kind of foothold in our lives! James 3:16-18, TPT says: “So wherever jealousy and selfishness are uncovered, you will also find many troubles and every kind of meanness. But the wisdom from above is always pure, filled with peace, considerate and teachable. It is filled with love and never displays prejudice or hypocrisy in any form and it always bears the beautiful harvest of righteousness! Good seeds of wisdom’s fruit will be planted with peaceful acts by those who cherish making peace.”
Here, we can see that where there is strife there is CONFUSION. Conversely, where there is wisdom of Heaven there is PEACE! We know that when strife exists, we cannot be walking in love – and if we aren’t walking in love our faith won’t work. Now more than ever is a time we need to be engaging our faith, so we need to be resisting strife with the same fervency as we are resisting COVID-19!As Aubrey shares with us this morning, as much as we wash our hands we should be WASHING OUR MINDS in the water of the Word! As much as people are storing up toilet paper in their homes, we should be STORING THE WORD OF GOD IN OUR HEARTS! And just as much as others are keeping their distance from others, we need to DISTANCE ourselves from strife and those who stir that up in our lives.
Be encouraged today to foster an atmosphere of peace wherever you are, and know that when you plant seeds of peace and love, you will reap an ABUNDANT HARVEST!
Daily Devo Extended 3 With Teri Bailey
Today, we are going to be reflecting on God’s Word in Philippians 4:4-8, AMPC. It says:
“Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, gladden yourselves in Him]; again I say, Rejoice! Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near [He is coming soon]. Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].”
Firstly, we can gather from this passage that the LORD IS NEAR! He is coming soon! And as Teri shares with us today, we are women who were BORN FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS. We are the queens of this age who are called to praise God in this time and fix our focus on Him. From this passage, Teri also shares with us that in this prophetic time, we should be FULL of joy. We shouldn’t be worried or afraid, but rather rejoice through our thanksgiving to the Lord for all that He has done and all that He will continue to do!Additionally, rather than worrying, we can make our requests known to the Father through PRAYER. Prayer is a powerful tool in this season to bring about change and see God’s hand move in the earth. Verse 6 instructs us to PRAY about everything – confidently knowing that the peace of God will follow us wherever we go. Finally, set your focus on what is true, honorable, just, pure, and lovely! Don’t allow your thoughts to be consumed with doubt, fear, or loneliness. Rather, look to the face of God and know that He is in control. Continue to stand in FAITH today, knowing that the God of all good is working on your behalf! And… don’t forget to take a praise break!
Daily Devo Extended 4 With Barbara Brunner
Join us today for a devotional as Barbara talks about our COVENANT with God in light of the season we are in! As you can see from today’s video, there are many similarities between what we are facing right now and what the Israelites encountered in Joshua chapter 3. God told the Israelites to stop and camp before they entered the promised land, and then He gave them instructions. Isn’t it easier to hear God’s voice when we slow down? In this time of “sheltering in faith” our world has definitely seemed to slow down! Just like the Israelites, we must be intentional to listen for the voice and instructions of God in this time.
Another similarity that we can see in this story is how God told the people of Israel to keep a distance from the ark. When this happened, it caused the Israelites to trust in the Lord’s instructions even more, as they couldn’t see the ark up close. For us, we should be walking in pure faith in God – knowing that we can trust what He is asking us to do in this season. Now is the time to purify yourself, consecrate yourself to God, and get ready for tomorrow and what God is going to do! He is preparing something, so spend time reflecting on His promises and the prophetic words that have been spoken over our year! We shouldn’t worry! Our God always has a plan.Jeremiah 29:11, AMPC says: “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.” Just like Barbara shares, WE ARE COVENANT PEOPLE who are called to follow His Presence. God will not leave behind anyone who trusts in Him, and in a season where our world is facing a BIG PROBLEM, we have A BIG OPPORTUNITY to see our God show His mighty power. Be encouraged today to not just go through this time, but to take something from it! IT IS HARVEST TIME! We love you and are praying for you today!
Daily Devo Extended 5 Alex Sepulveda
Today join with us as Alex Sepulveda shares with us a word of encouragement! Alex is talking to us today about how to have JOY in the midst of trials and unforeseen circumstances.
James 1:2-4, 12 (TPT) says: “My fellow believers, when it seems as though you are facing nothing but difficulties see it as an invaluable opportunity to experience the greatest joy that you can! For you know that when your faith is tested it stirs up power within you to endure all things. And then as your endurance grows even stronger it will release perfection into every part of your being until there is nothing missing and nothing lacking… If your faith remains strong, even while surrounded by life’s difficulties, you will continue to experience the untold blessings of God! True happiness comes as you pass the test with faith, and receive the victorious crown of life promised to every lover of God!”
Isn’t that amazing? Even when we are facing difficulties, it is an INVALUABLE opportunity to have the JOY of the Lord. And, we know that if our faith remains strong we will continue to walk in the MANIFESTED BLESSINGS of God! As Alex shares with us, we can use this time to allow the Lord to speak to us and minister to our hearts. Examine your relationship with the Lord today, and ask Him to reveal to you anything in your heart that needs to change. Find Scripture to help you deal with the things that He reveals to you, and come out of this season with renewed STRENGTH, HOPE, AND JOY in the Holy Spirit!
Don’t forget that God is doing things and despite everything going on in our world, you have OVERWHELMING VICTORY IN JESUS CHRIST! What you confess, you will possess!
We love you and are praying for you today!
Daily Devo Extended 6 Sharae Coleman
Have you ever felt like you were surrounded? Like every way you turned you faced defeat? The Israelites felt this way when they came to the Red Sea in Exodus, Chapter 14. It seemed like they were surrounded on all sides – BUT GOD! Join us for today’s devotional as Sharae shares with us a word of encouragement on how God will ALWAYS fight for us.
Exodus 14:13-14 (AMPC) says, “Moses told the people, Fear not; stand still (firm, confident, undismayed) and see the salvation of the Lord which He will work for you today. For the Egyptians you have seen today you shall never see again. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.”In spite of the circumstances, Moses had FAITH in God. He knew that God would come through and deliver the people of Israel from their enemies. Likewise, in your life you may feel like you are walking through a “Red Sea moment.” Be encouraged today – DO NOT BE AFRAID! God is with you and He is at work on your behalf. You can remain confident, firm, and steadfast, knowing that your rest is in Jesus. Trust that God has a plan for you, no matter what you are facing, to step into HIS divine plan and purpose for your life.
Please know if you are in the middle of your Red Sea moment now, that God is faithful and He will perform His Word in your life!
Daily Devo Extended 7 Cynthia Villagio
Today, we would like to share a devotional from Cynthia Villagio about how to stand strong in the midst of challenging circumstances! As we all know, life is not without its disappointments or challenges. However, we know that because of the blood of Jesus we have been delivered from them ALL.
Psalm 34:19 (AMPC) says: “Many evils confront the [consistently] righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.” While we might face challenges in our lives, especially in this season of life, God has given us a choice. We have the choice to be BITTER or be BETTER in the face of adversity. Which are you going to choose? Cynthia shares with us the example of Joseph from Genesis 37. If anyone has ever had the opportunity to become bitter, it was Joseph! He was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, convicted for a crime he didn’t commit…the list could go on! HOWEVER, in spite of it Joseph decided to be better and the promise came. This led to the great elevation in his life because he allowed God to move!
Don’t forget today that while the opportunity to grow BITTER may come, you have the CHOICE to become better. God’s way is always best, so make that choice today!
Philippians 4:8 (AMPC) “For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].”

Today, Sylas shares with us from Romans 1:20. It says, “Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse.” As you can see here, ALL CREATION testifies of who God is! That means, that even without actually saying that God is the Creator, Healer, or our Savior, nature itself reveals that to us about Him! Isn’t that awesome? Just like Sylas shared, it’s important for us to be thankful and mindful of God in the midst of everything going on in our world - especially when we have the time to look around us and see His faithfulness and heart in everything He has created. We can see His artistic nature and faithfulness on display in the creatures He’s made, the sunset, the ocean, and even the stars in the sky! Take some time today to observe the world that He created and ask yourself what it says about Him. Be encouraged today that the God who is faithful and detailed enough to see to it that the sun rises each morning, is the same God who cares about every detail of your life.
Hey 14forty! Today, we are talking about ISOLATION. In a time where we’ve been asked by officials to “self-isolate,” and we haven’t been able to see or spend time with others as we would in normal life, we want to remind you that isolation is one of the biggest tactics that the enemy will try to use against you!
As Hannah shares with us today, in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 it says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good [more satisfying] reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie down together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone? And though a man might prevail against him who is alone, two will withstand him. A threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Often times, feeling isolated can be one of the worst feelings. And as you can see here, God’s Word specifically instructs us to have community with one another, because within community we are safer and have the help we need when we need it. But, if the enemy can convince you that you’re alone and have no one to help you, he can lie to you, steal from you, and discourage you – and there won’t be anyone there to help you recognize those lies! While we have the Holy Spirit with us always, God created humanity to exist within the context of relationship – YOU NEED THE SUPPORT OF FELLOW BELIEVERS.
When the enemy does attack us in this way, we MUST combat those thoughts when they come and be intentional to surround ourselves with friends who will support us and point us toward God and His Word. There is strength in numbers! When we intentionally surround ourselves with the RIGHT people, we will be uplifted and set up to succeed even in the craziest of situations. This is vital for your growth and life in this season! We want to challenge you today to be intentional to talk to someone you haven’t in a while, whether that’s via social media, FaceTime, texting, etc. Be willing to allow others to speak TRUTH into your life and be willing to do the same for them.
Today, we’re talking about DISTRACTIONS. Now that we’re at home and have been asked to “shelter in faith,” it’s easy to find ourselves spending hours watching Netflix, scrolling through social media, and doing some of the most impractical things to fill up all of our free time. However, today Lena shares with us about the importance of not allowing these things to distract us from our relationship with God and hearing from Him in this time.
James 4:8 says, “Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you.” How comforting is it to know that all we need to do is take a step towards God and He is right there waiting for us? Just like this verse tells us, God WANTS to know you. He WANTS to spend time with you. He desires to know your character, your personality, your sense of humor – every detail of your life. God wants to get to know you and show you your future. Most of us might say we desire to know God’s plan for us, but not all of us are willing to actually spend time with Him to hear His voice and receive that direction for our lives.
Like Lena shared, the Lord told her, “I want to show you how to unlock Heaven.” There is so much laid up for us in Heaven! Angels are waiting to be commanded and there is so much that God wants to give you! He is a God of provision and blessing. But part of accessing what He has for you is choosing to INTENTIONALLY engage with the spirit realm and pull down those heavenly things into your world. Instead of making excuses or allowing distractions to get the best of you, we’d like to encourage you to intentionally set aside some time to spend with God and hear His heart. When you do, your life will never be the same!
Today, we have the privilege of hearing from who we like to call the “Mom of 14forty,” Ms. Joanie! Did you know that even in the midst of trying times, God’s Word promises us that we can have peace, grace, and joy? 1 Peter 1:2, TPT says: “You are not forgotten, for you have been chosen and destined by Father God. The Holy Spirit has set you apart to be God’s holy ones, obedient followers of Jesus Christ who have been gloriously sprinkled with his blood. May God’s delightful grace and peace cascade over you many times over!” As you can see, God’s Word tells us that even in the midst of this time we are NOT forgotten but have been CHOSEN by Him!
In the midst of self-isolating, this season can definitely feel like a trial. However, further along in vs. 5-6 of the same chapter, the Bible tells us that we can JUMP FOR JOY in the midst of any trap or scheme of the enemy! Even better, this joy that we have been given by the Holy Spirit is not something we are just supposed to keep for ourselves. Rather, we are instructed to BROADCAST His glorious wonders throughout the world (v.9). We must be diligent to stay alert and share the news of the joy that came through Jesus and His sacrifice for us.
What can you do in your home during this time to share the Gospel and miraculous power of God? What are some of the ways you can share His love and grace with the people in your life? Be encouraged today and know that even in your home, you still have a God-given purpose and assignment!
Did you know that the enemy’s number one goal in this time is going to be to try and disrupt your focus? The temptation in this time will be to focus on the problems and inconveniences of life, rather than the blessings of God that are all around you! However, it is SO important that we maintain our focus on the RIGHT things.
As Jaymi shares today in our daily devo, we need to be challenged and encouraged to have hope for the future, look for joy in the little things, and make the quality decision to not be overwhelmed by what the enemy is throwing at us! 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!]” Here, we can see that even God’s Word encourages us that this season has the ability to produce fruit and prepare us for the future if we let it. It’s all about shifting our perspective and focusing on all the things God has blessed us with. Today, ask yourself some of these questions: What blessing might I have overlooked in this season? How can I find joy in the little things? Be intentional to thank God today for all he’s doing in your life, and watch your peace, joy, and hope in this season skyrocket!
Today, we’re talking about what it means to SEEK God. Jeremiah 29:13 says, “And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” Isn’t it awesome to know that when we look for God and seek His will in our lives, the Bible PROMISES we will find what we are looking for?
Like Kyle shares with us today, in this time of being at home and separated from what is comfortable and “normal” to us, it is important that we use our time wisely! One way we can do that is by setting aside time to intentionally seek God! Hebrews 11:6 tells us that it is impossible to please God without faith, but that He REWARDS those who diligently seek Him. Not only are we commanded to pursue God, but we’re also told that we will be REWARDED when we do! As you believe God for healing, prosperity, wisdom, direction, protection, etc. this week, be sure to seek His face FIRST and all your Heavenly rewards will follow.
Be encouraged today to boldly approach the throne of our Father and seek after His heart. Know that Matthew 6:33 promises us: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” We love you and are standing in faith with you today!
Today for our DAILY DEVO we are talking about RESOUNDING! What does that mean, you ask? To resound, means to repeat what has already been said, to echo, or to sing the praises of. In this time we are in, it is important that we ONLY allow ourselves to resound what God has ALREADY SPOKEN in His Word. The temptation is to resound the news, popular opinion, or what we’re hearing from or friends. But we want to challenge you today to speak His Word only!
John 13:10, TPT says: “Don’t you believe that the Father is living in me and that I am living in the Father? Even my words are not my own but come from my Father, for he lives in me and performs his miracles of power through me.” Even Jesus ONLY spoke what His Father told Him to say! We need to be more like Jesus.
Like Shalom shares today, remember that God did not send this virus – He is a good God and the devil is a bad devil! And because of that, we have the authority to take a stand against what is going on in our world! YOUR WORDS CREATE YOUR WORLD, so choose to speak FAITH in this time. Speak life, speak truth, and speak His Word. God is looking for His faithful ones to speak HIS Words.
Today, challenge yourself to read the Bible OUT LOUD. When you do, what is going in your eyes and in your ears will naturally begin to come out of your mouth to create the world you live in.
Today for our daily devo, we are talking about WORSHIP! It can be so easy to feel isolated, lonely, or disconnected in a time like this. When we feel that way, it can often create space for the enemy to come in to lie and discourage. HOWEVER, we do NOT have to be alone in this time! Like Pastor Terri says, the church is not a building! It’s the body and community of like-minded believers we have around us. That means that we can connect with the Lord, worship him, and have fellowship with the people around us without actually being physically present together!
Psalms 34:1, AMPC says: “I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” What this verse says is that we aren’t limited to a time or a place to worship God! We can connect with Him and praise Him in EVERY CIRCUMSTANCE. Like Mr. Jonathan shared with us today, be encouraged to KEEP PRAISING GOD! We still have reason to praise. He is in control. He is taking care of us. He loves us. He is on our side. Find ways to worship Him for who He is, what He’s done, and what He will continue to do in your life today! Don’t forget to acknowledge Him and offer up your thanksgiving to him. Be blessed today and know you have a Father who loves you and is looking out for you in every circumstance!
Today for our daily devo, we are going to be talking about LOVE! 2 Timothy 1:7, AMPC says: “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.” Here, we can see that God has given us three things – POWER, LOVE, and a SOUND MIND. Today, Aubrey shares with us about the love that God has given us!
As Aubrey shares, since God loves us, we have NOTHING to fear. He is God and is able to keep this from hurting us or negatively affecting us. The Bible tells us that EVERYTHING the enemy meant for evil, God will use for good (Gen. 50:20). We also know that He works ALL THINGS together for those who love Him (Rom. 8:28)! If we truly believe God’s Word, there is nothing to be afraid of. All we have to do is put our FAITH in Him during this time. When we do, we can REST in His faithfulness and all of His promises. Be blessed today and choose FAITH OVER FEAR! “We have come into an intimate experience with God’s love, and we trust in the love he has for us. God is love! Those who are living in love are living in God, and God lives through them.” – 1 John 4:16, AMPC
Today, we want to bring you an encouraging word from Mrs. A about your WORDS! I don’t know about you, but right now I’ve been hearing negative things NON-STOP on social media, the news, and even from other people! But be reminded today that it is SO important that we don’t keep speaking what we’re hearing but continue to speak LIFE into the atmosphere!
2 Corinthians 4:13-14, 16-17, AMPC says: “Yet we have the same spirit of faith as he had who wrote, I have believed, and therefore have I spoken. We too believe, and therefore we speak, Assured that He Who raised up the Lord Jesus will raise us up also with Jesus and bring us [along] with you into His presence…Therefore we do not become discouraged (utterly spiritless, exhausted, and wearied out through fear). Though our outer man is [progressively] decaying and wasting away, yet our inner self is being [progressively] renewed day after day. For our light, momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!]”
Just like Mrs. A says, we need to be encouraged by this passage to BELIEVE what God’s Word has said concerning us and SPEAK IT! In a time where it can become easy to be discouraged, this passage instructs us not to lose heart! Right now, all of our distractions have been removed and we should be using this time to focus on the Lord, His Word, and what He is speaking to us. He is renewing us day by day, and He is worthy of being trusted.
It is important that you know whatever you CONFESS is what you POSSESS, so focus on changing your tongue today and filling your mouth with God’s faith. Know that He WILL provide. He WILL take care of us in this time! He WILL meet you wherever you are! Use your words to encourage someone else today and speak God’s life everywhere you go!
For today’s Daily Devo, join us as Mr. Jarod talks about how we have REBORN SPIRITS! In his video, he says an interesting statement: “What you wear shows who you are. Who you wear shows what you are.” Did you know that the Bible says that we have COMPLETELY new spirits when we are born again? It often talks about PUTTING ON Christ. Join us today as we talk about what that really looks like in the life of a believer!
2 Corinthians 6:16, AMPC says: “What agreement [can there be between] a temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God; even as God said, I will dwell in and with and among them and will walk in and with and among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” When we become a part of the family of God, our spirit becomes ONE with God’s spirit! That means that when God looks at us, He sees JESUS! He sees a perfect child of God – HE doesn’t see your sin or your mistakes! Isn’t’ that awesome?
Just like Mr. Jarod shares with us today, there’s nothing you can do to make yourself less valuable to God! You have been SEALED with His promises and His Blessing! During this time, understand that what you decree and what you do in this season MATTERS! You are a walking extension of CHRIST HIMSELF! Use the spirit of POWER that God has given you to impact your world. Don’t get tricked into doing nothing during this time! Spend time with the Holy Spirit and build yourself up for what comes after this moment!
Remember that Romans 8:11, AMPC says: “And if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, [then] He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also restore to life your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies through His Spirit Who dwells in you.” Be encouraged today to allow God’s Spirit to work IN you and THROUGH you!
Join us for today’s daily devo with Ms. Aubrey as she talks about divine protection. Psalm 91:11 says: “God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm.” Isn’t that awesome?! We have ANGELS commanded to surround us and protect us during this time!
Like Ms. Aubrey shares, these angels are kind of like bodyguards or secret service agents! They are there to protect us from ALL things that would try to come against us and harm us. It’s amazing to know that we have the protection of God over EVERYTHING in our lives to keep us safe from every single trap and evil plan of the enemy.
There are even other passages of Scripture in God’s Word that talk about God being like a BODYGUARD! For example, Psalms 34:20, TPT says: “God will be your bodyguard to protect you when trouble is near. Not one bone will be broken.” Or, Proverbs 2:7, TPT says: “For the Lord has a hidden storehouse of wisdom made accessible to his godly lovers. He becomes your personal bodyguard as you follow his ways, protecting and guarding you as you choose what is right.” So, be encouraged today! As we go through this time, continue to choose HIS ways and allow Him to show Himself as your faithful protector in this time! We love you and are praying for you today!
For today’s devo, join us as Mr. Hunter leads us in prayer and shares with us about LOVE! Did you know that GOD IS LOVE? He isn’t just loving, but He is LOVE HIMSELF. Likewise, we are called to be walking, talking extensions of love in the world that we live!
Ephesians 3:17, AMPC says: “May Christ through your faith [actually] dwell (settle down, abide, make His permanent home) in your hearts! May you be rooted deep in love and founded securely on love, that you may have the power and be strong to apprehend and grasp with all the saints [God’s devoted people, the experience of that love] what is the breadth and length and height and depth [of it]; [That you may really come] to know [practically, through experience for yourselves] the love of Christ, which far surpasses mere knowledge [without experience]; that you may be filled [through all your being] unto all the fullness of God [may have the richest measure of the divine Presence, and become a body wholly filled and flooded with God Himself]!” Isn’t that passage of Scripture awesome? We have the ability to be so rooted and grounded in love that we may have POWER and become a youth group entirely filled and flooded with God Himself! Today is the perfect day to become ROOTED AND GROUNDED in love! We know that God’s Word says in 1 John 4:8, TPT: “The one who doesn’t love has yet to know God, for God is love.” If God is love, then we know that we must become rooted and grounded in HIM!
We have been created in His image and called to be a reflection of Him in the earth – to look like Him, talk like Him, and act like Him! 1 Corinthians 13 gives us a beautiful picture of what love looks like, and in turn, what we should look like! Today, take some time to read through 1 Corinthians 13. Spend time with God and ask Him what you can do to look more like Love. Have a great day!
Today for our daily devotional, we are talking about the POWER of PRAISE! Our praise is powerful, especially when we praise God in spite of our struggles or current circumstances. Psalms 118:24, AMPC says: “This is the day which the Lord has brought about; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Did you know that when King David wrote this psalm, that it was in the middle of a gloomy and dreadful looking situation? However, the psalm is titled: “A Glorious Thanksgiving!” King David knew something that was powerful enough to change his life and his circumstance, and that was the power of praise! Like Mr. Jason shares with us today, be reminded that TODAY IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE. God doesn’t make mistakes, so today has a purpose and should be a day that you REJOICE in! We mustn’t allow ourselves to be fearful of the unknown but should trust in God who is always good and always faithful to us.
Mr. Jason also mentions a story about King Jehoshaphat found in 2 Chronicles 20. In the midst of a battle that looked like it was too much for him, he began to sing and praise and that’s when the Lord took action. There’s no doubt that our praise and rejoicing unto God in the midst of these times we’re in today will make ALLLL the difference! Post a song in the comments that gets you in a place of worship so that you can praise the Lord freely! Remember, that even in spite of our feelings or our circumstances, our praise will always lead to breakthrough. We are praising God for you today!
