About Sarah Grace Harris
My name is Sarah Grace! I am a born and raised Texan who loves all things theatre, dance and arts. In high school I was the captain of my dance team and very involved in the theatre department. I graduated with my degree in theatre from Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. I got the opportunity to be in multiple productions there and learned about all of the backstage elements. What most people don’t know is that I worked as a Master Carpenter and Scenic Artist during my time at college and for a year afterwards. When I graduated high school I moved to Oklahoma, then to Mississippi, then to Ohio, and now I am glad to be back in Texas.
I have been a member of EMIC since the time I was born back in 1995, but my parents started going to EMIC in 1985. The same week I was born SWBC was happening downtown and since my brother just had to go to SKA I experienced my first SWBC at a week old and I have been every year since. Growing up in super babies, superkids, 14forty and now The Bridge I have been around all parts of the church. In 7th grade I started volunteering in Jr. Superkids and Superkids (1st-5th) and continued until I went to college in 2013. For the last 12 years I have volunteered in Superkid Academy Global at the Believers Conventions where I am now the backstage coordinator.
August of 2017, I came on staff here at EMIC where I work as the SKA Production Coordinator. In this position I get to make and animate bible videos for the kids to watch every Sunday. I also get to create all of the fun elements for every service. In children’s ministry you have to make sure every kid has something they can connect with and relate to whether it’s a game or a silly riddle. My goal is to welcome kids in with fun so the ears of their heart will be open and ready to hear the word of God during the message. I have always known ministry through the arts was my calling and I am so excited to be able to combine these things in my position here.
