About Matthew Kurth

My name is Matthew and I’m a nerd. I like installing RAM and PCI cards and After Effects expressions like wiggle(2,5) and

freq = 3;
decay = 5;
n = 0;
if (numKeys > 0){ n = nearestKey(time).index;
if (key(n).time > time) n--;
if (n > 0){
t = time - key(n).time;
amp = velocityAtTime(key(n).time - .001);
w = freq*Math.PI*2;
value + amp*(Math.sin(t*w)/Math.exp(decay*t)/w);

I’m married to my beautiful wife Mary and we have three awesome kids, Aiden, MacKenna and Sadie. I also thoroughly enjoy watching and playing sports and I’m a big Notre Dame football fan.

I was born in the ice cream capital of the world (LeMars, IA) and my family moved to Fort Worth to begin attending Eagle Mountain in 1996. I was in Superkids when we first starting attending the church and kinda grew up there because I’ve been here ever since. When I was a teenager I volunteered in Superkids and started helping with their technical team and had the privilege of traveling with them to the Believers’ Conventions. Since then I’ve worked in just about every technical position at the church from Superkids to adult service and in 2008 I joined the church staff full time.

As the lead producer I write, shoot, and edit most of the videos we produce and well as some of the print pieces too. I support our student ministry areas with technical support as well and I help keep our current gear running and recommend upgrades when needed. During services I usually fill one of the many technical roles in the main auditorium.
