About Donnie Petty
Who Am I?
Adopted child of the one true God, husband to Dara, pastor to young adults, catalyst of change to a hurting and lost world—endeavoring to lead by serving with the unconditional love of God. I was born and raised in the central/north Texas area and have enjoyed playing sports my entire life, including playing football in college.
I’ve been in church throughout my whole life, but wasn’t until later in my teens that I made Jesus my Lord. I am the man I am today because of the grace and favor of the Lord, and granting Him access to every part of my life—and standing on the promise of His word. I’ve been blessed by dear friends, mentors, pastors, and a truly supportive family that have all pointed me back to Jesus in every circumstance. I graduated college from a private Christian college in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, where the Lord called me to ministry—in whatever sphere of influence He gave me.
What I Do
I joined the pastoral staff at EMIC in the fall of 2013, after being in upper management/leadership in the business sector. I have served in various leadership capacities in my local church for a better part of the past several years. I’m ecstatic to be a part of what the Lord is doing in and through EMIC, and I’m commissioned to do as Jesus did—and show people the heart of the Father, love them immensely, disciple them intensely, and teach them an uncommon faith that empowers them to in turn—see their spheres of influence radically changed by the power and grace of God!
