WE ARE FORGED IN FAITH!
Men, what a powerful time we had during our October Men’s Breakfast with guest speaker, Gene Bailey, as he challenged us to “take a stand!”.
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
That word STAND is the Greek word histemi, which means: to establish a thing, to uphold or sustain the authority or force of anything.
That is what we are challenged to do! To establish God’s righteousness and His kingdom authority on earth as it is in heaven!
Pastor Gene reminded us that although we see many reports and news in the natural, our battle is not only against flesh and blood, as Ephesians 6:12 tells us, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places.
We must stay positioned in the armor of God praying the Word and praying in the Spirit to speak and establish godly outcomes.
In Ephesians 6:12 Amplified Classic extended definition, it states that we are not contending only with physical opponents. This implies that we also have physical opponents to contend with. Remember that what we see in the natural is a manifestation of something first in the spirit realm. The corresponding action of our faith is to be led by the Spirit to also act in the natural.
For example, we know that satan is working hard to corrupt our laws by attempting to influence every branch of government in America towards wickedness. By the Spirit we are not unaware of his devices according to 2 Cor 2:11. So by faith, we stay informed of ungodly legislature, corruption of our children in schools and candidates running for office pushing such agendas – then – we activate by taking a stand against these agendas and voting for candidates that are also taking a stand against satan’s plans.
This is how spiritual activism works and instructs faith-filled actions.
During this political season there is much activity in the spirit realm. We must purpose to be fully encased in the armor of God as we act swiftly by faith, with our voices and our vote!
Men, unified faith is the incubator for revival!
Let’s continue to join our faith in prayer for the Key Prayer Points below that will continue throughout the month.
- Government leaders to take political offices according to Exodus 18:21
- Complete healing for our church family members that are overcoming.
- America to return to the righteousness of God and stand as a light to the world
- Abortion to be abolished at every state level
There are active opportunities to be involved in affecting each one of these areas here at EMIC, our community, schools and voting involvement and through effective faith-filled prayers.
