Commander’s Corner:
There is an EXPLOSION of bravery happening in the Faith Lab! Our Superkids are going to learn about the story of David and Goliath. David was a young man who had faith in God no matter the giant that stood before him. This week, read 1 Samuel 17 with your children. Talk about how David chose faith over fear, and how your kids can overcome any fear and challenge. Faith in God made David brave enough to conquer lions, bears, and the giant. That is what faith in God will do for your children as well!
But wait, the fun is not over yet!!! During our Wednesday night programming, we are continuing to build up our faith muscles in the Summer Olympics! A place where faith champions are made! We are teaching the 1st-5th grade about how champions give their best as we discuss Cain and Abel. They both had an opportunity to give God an offering, but Abel gave his best. It’s important that we teach our children about placing value on the things of God and what he asks us to do!
Sunday, May 29th:
On Sunday, May 29th, 1st – 5th Graders will join their families in the sanctuary at 10:00am for service! Superkids will sit with their families and hear a Word from Pastor George as they get ready to go to camp! Please note that 1st – 5th grade will not have Sunday School that morning.
Birth – Kindergarten classrooms will be open for both Sunday School and the 10:00am service.
Vacation Bible School:
Our theme this year is BLAST OFF WITH FAITH! 1 John 5:4 says, “This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.” This year during VBS we are going to BLAST OFF with the Word of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit! Join us for a 3-day event filled with out of this world activities! Each day, your child will get to participate in chapel, worship, arts & crafts, snacks, space games, and of course science experiments! Come out and join us as we travel through space together!
