Commander’s Corner:
Here at Superkid Academy, we pray about everything! But as Pastor Terri says, we don’t pray sissy prayers. We pray prayers that are full of faith! Join us Sunday as we kick off our September series: Oomph Prayers!
We’re teaching the Superkids how to pray God’s way, starting with the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew 6. Our memory verse this month is Matthew 6:6 NLT, “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” We want the Superkids to know that they can talk to God anytime and any place, but we also want them to learn the importance of going to the secret place to pray. God will reward them publicly for the things they do in secret!
On Wednesday nights, we’re continuing with our elective program. It’s not too late for your Superkid to join us!
1st and 2nd graders will be in Basic Training with Captain Gerrelda to learn the core values of EMIC!
Our 3rd – 5th graders will rotate through the following classes:
-God & Science: Lt. Reggie will teach the Superkids about the Word of God through fun science experiments!
-Prayer: Lt. Cmdr. Geana will teach the Superkids how to pray in the spirit of faith!
-Tech: Captain Don will teach the Superkids how to operate broadcast technology!
Deirra Jones
Deirra is one of our 14forty students who faithfully serves in SKA each month! She helps us backstage, on stage, and on the dance team. Deirra brings such energy and laughter to SKA, and she captivates the Superkids’ attention whenever she’s around. We are so thankful for her bold personality and the fun that she brings! We love you, Deirra! Keep shining bright!
