Commander’s Corner:
Hebrews 11:1 says “Now faith is the substance of thing hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith in God’s Word is an important foundation to teach our Superkids. The Bible is filled with heroes of faith. These heroes of faith are people who used their faith and got results! We are ending this series by talking about one special lady in the Bible who used her faith and received results: Queen Esther. When her people faced death, God chose her to be the light in a time of darkness. She risked her life by going to the king, and she received favor. Then the enemy’s plans were thwarted! Sometimes fear tries to keep us from living by faith the most. Faith and fear cannot live together. We must teach our children to live by faith and not by fear. As they live by faith, they will bring about change, light, and salvation to those around them!
Wednesday Night:
This Wednesday, 1st-5th grade is starting a new summer series called Chapter and Verse. The Word of the Lord through Brother Copeland was to put the Word of God first place and make it final authority in our lives. We are doing just that in Superkid Academy! We will spend our summer diving deeper into the Word of God, learning memory verses, the books of the Bible, and so much more!
SKA Camp:
Attention all 1st-5th graders! It’s time to dive into the Word of God at Superkid Academy Camp 2023 in Huntsville, TX! Our theme this year is God’s Masterpiece! Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”
Our superkids will learn that they are God’s masterpiece- they are loved, blessed, chosen, and a child of God!
As always one of our rules is to have fun! There will be fun activities like: zip-lining, fishing, swimming and more!
Camp will kick off Sunday, May 28th in the main sanctuary. Camp dates are May 28th-June 1st on the beautiful grounds of Forest Glen Camp.
Age requirements: 1st–5th grade (children graduating from 1st grade into 2nd through children graduating from 5th grade into 6th).
