Commander’s Corner:
July is a fun summer month! Time for swimming, cookouts, and fireworks with friends and family! In Superkid Academy, we are starting a new series called “Living Waters.” Our Superkids are going to learn about the baptism of the Holy Spirit and water baptism. In honor of Independence Day, Sunday, July 3rd our topic is “Get Free”! We will teach the kids about the woman who was caught in the act of sin. Jesus didn’t condemn her, but He forgave her and let her go free. This is a great story of the Lord’s forgiveness and mercy, even when we make really big mistakes!
On Wednesday nights, we are continuing our Summer Olympic series. Our topic on July 6th is “Champions Believe in God and Themselves.” Superkids will learn about the story of Gideon. Gideon didn’t believe in himself at first, but the Lord helped him to have courage. It’s important to teach our children to trust in the Lord, even when he asks them to do BIG things. It’s also important that they believe in themselves because, with God, all things are possible!
Volunteer of the Month:
Valor Kunkel
Valor has been serving in Superkids for many years; he actually started serving on cameras when he was still a Superkid! He has been a faithful volunteer who has served in a variety of areas, not only on Sundays but also at camp, VBS, Radiant and other special EMIC events. Thank you, Valor, for your faithfulness and all the time you’ve given to our team and our Superkids! We love you!
