Can we take a moment and talk about health? I know we know (or at least hear) ALL the things we are supposed to be (and for some are) doing. But with so much information out there, it can often make your mind spin trying to keep up with “do this”, “don’t do that”, “take this”, “don’t eat that”, and on, and on, and on…..
I have GREAT news for you!! Put your health and your body in the hands of Jesus and follow the scripture below. Why? Because if we treat our body as the body of Holy Spirit, we are more likely to listen to what Holy Spirit says to do – and that is what helps us to succeed!! We won’t be leaning on our own will power and understanding, we will be led by Holy Spirit who knows all the inner workings of our body.
“Have you forgotten that your body is now the sacred temple of the Spirit of Holiness, who lives in you? You don’t belong to yourself any longer, for the gift of God, the Holy Spirit, lives inside your sanctuary. 20You were God’s expensive purchase, paid for with tears of blood, so by all means, then, use your body to bring glory to God!“ 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (TPT)
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, August 25th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
- Sunday, August 28th is The Ruth Circle, a support group for Widows. They meet and discuss the victory they have over widowhood and how to move forward in faith. They meet every 4th Sunday right after service in the SLC Classroom B – LUNCH IS PROVIDED with RSVP to women@emic.org!
- Monday, August 29th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are currently going through Sister Gloria Copeland’s book on the Fruit of the Spirit, and meet at 12:15pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom: Radiant Discipleship Link
