God has wonderful plans for your life! He doesn’t want you to be stuck in a dead-end life you don’t enjoy. He doesn’t want you to be standing in one place doing nothing and going nowhere.
Yet that is what happens to us, when we don’t take hold of the reality that Christ became sin for us so we could become the righteousness of God through our union with him. When we continue in sin, or fail to forgive ourselves after we truly repent to the Father, the devil bogs us down in the muck and mire of those sinful actions – causing us to replay them in our mind over and over.
You might be saying, “So what do I do Pastor Cathy?” I’m glad you asked! First – if you have not truly repented of what you know to be a sin in your life – do so! Second, once you have truly repented – FORGIVE YOURSELF! Lastly, when the devil tries to bring thoughts of that sin (or any past sin you have repented of), combat him by saying this scripture OUT LOUD!:
“For God made the only one who did not know sin to become sin for us (ME), so that we (I) might become the righteousness of God through our (MY) union with him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 (TPT)
You ARE the righteousness of God through your union with Christ – so go fulfill that destiny God has for you – and don’t let sin bog you down any longer!!
Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, October 27th is our monthly Abiding Wives group. This is a group for married women to fellowship and connect with each other as we gather to pray for our husbands. We meet every 4th Thursday of the month at a private home, beginning at 7 pm. You will need to email women@emic.org to get the address.
- Monday, October 31st is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are currently going through Sister Gloria Copeland’s book on the Fruit of the Spirit and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom: Radiant Discipleship Link
- Tuesday, November 1st we have our Table Talk (65 and beyond) group. This group is for women (65 years of age and beyond). We have fellowship around the Word of God and with each other. They meet at 11:00 am in the Hospitality Room every 1st Tuesday.
- Wednesday, November 2nd is our Radiant Bible Study. Enjoy the Word of God, and good teaching with other women of EMIC. We meet every 1st & 3rd Wednesday of the month in the Hospitality Room at 10:30 am.
