Often we hear about all the great things that Jesus said and did. And that is wonderful, but lately, I've had to face some of the corrective things He said, like this scripture:
"Jesus said, “Forsake the habit of criticizing and judging others, and you will not be criticized and judged in return. Don’t condemn others and you will not be condemned. Forgive over and over, and you will be forgiven over and over.” Luke 6:37 (TPT)
Now listen – I do NOT like that the Holy Spirit had to ask me to check myself for criticizing, judging, or condemning someone – I mean OUCH!! Right??? BUT, if Jesus took time to speak about it, and the Holy Spirit made sure that it was written down for all eternity, then I NEED (and so should you) to do a checkup on my love walk. You might be asking, "Pastor Cathy, were you doing any of those things?" In all transparency, yes. The Holy Spirit did replay in my memory a recent moment where I had judged someone. So what did I do, repented IMMEDIATELY and HUMBLED myself before the Father. Why? Because failing to do so opens the door for me to be judged, criticized, or condemned – and it would be ALL my fault!!
I want to encourage you to do a quick checkup on your love walk and ask the Holy Spirit to bring to remembrance if you have criticized, judged, or condemned someone, and then do as I did – repent quickly and humble yourself before the Father!

The book club will meet once a month, 12:15pm-1:15pm, on the 1st Thursday of each month inside our very own WordWorks bookstore! AND, we are expecting to have special guest facilitators for our discussions throughout the year!! Our first meeting will be Thursday, May 4th!!
Each month we will choose a different book to pre-read and discuss at the following meeting. The book selected for our May discussion is Walking in Honor and Truth, by Brother Kenneth Copeland. You may purchase the book any time before the May 4th meeting directly from WordWorks (preferably in enough time to pre-read it!). HOWEVER, you must be registered (registration is free!) in the Radiant Book Club to get the discounted price of 15% off!!

Now, here’s a look at what is happening this week into next with our Radiant groups!
- Thursday, April 20th is our monthly Women’s Business Group meeting. They normally meet every 3rd Thursday at 7 pm in the Living Room modular. For the next few months, we are reading together “Dream Thieves” by Rick Renner. We will be discussing chapters 5-6 this Thursday night, so grab your copy and join us! Please come even if you haven’t had the chance to read and dive into a great discussion together. We will have a hot tea and hot chocolate bar for you to enjoy, and feel free to bring a snack to share (not mandatory).
- Saturday, April 22nd is our Advancing in Faith group. This group is using Brother Kenneth E. Hagin’s study guide, Bible Faith! We meet every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month in the Living Room modular at 9 am. This group is also available online via Zoom. There is a $10 course fee that includes the Bible Faith Study Guide we will be using. To register for this group please go here: Registration
- Sunday, April 23rd is The Ruth Circle, a support group for Widows. They meet and discuss the victory they have over widowhood and how to move forward in faith. They meet every 4th Sunday right after service in the Living Room modular – LUNCH IS PROVIDED with RSVP to cgrigg@emic.org!
- Monday, April 24th is our weekly Radiant Discipleship group led by Pastor Cathy Grigg. We are beginning a NEW STUDY on Brother Kenneth E. Hagin's book, How to be Led by the Spirit of God – Legacy Edition! and meet at 12:15 pm in the Hospitality Room. This group is also available via Zoom! Radiant Discipleship Registration
- Tuesday, April 25th is our Growing From Glory to Glory group. A time to enjoy the Word of God, good teaching, and light refreshments with other women of EMIC. They meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesday at 12:15pm in the Hospitality Room. NOTE: Room change for this Tuesday – SLC202
