I am so very excited for this month! We have TWO great events taking place, and I sure hope you are planning to attend both (see details below) Radiant Day Out – taking place this Saturday, November 2nd and Radiant Friendsgiving Around The World – taking place Thursday, November 14th!!
As you know, I've been meditating on the gospel of Matthew, Chapter 8. The verse I'm currently unpacking is, verse 10 (AMPC):
"When Jesus heard him, He marveled and said to those who followed Him [who adhered steadfastly to Him, conforming to His example in living and, if need be, in dying also], I tell you truly, I have not found so much faith as this with anyone, even in Israel."
Since we've jumped in midway through this story, I do want to mention this is the story of the Centurion. I know what some of you are thinking, but Pastor Cathy, I KNOW this story…. I KNOW Jesus is going to point out his GREAT FAITH!! Yes, but lets take a look at a few other parts of that verse!
Notice who is following Jesus – those "who adhered STEADFASTLY to Him, CONFORMING to His example in living and, if need be, in DYING also." These are not just men that Jesus picked up along the way, these are men that BELIEVE so STRONGLY in Him, that they have CHANGED who they are and how they live, to where they are EMULATING Him – and are even ready to DIE for Him! These are not men without faith – they HAVE faith. BUT, the faith this centurion displayed to Jesus caused even JESUS to MARVEL! This is the God kind of Faith.
You and I have faith – but is it the God kind of Faith? Would your faith make Jesus marvel? Now don't let the enemy get you into condemnation if you answered – no, or maybe…. NO, dust yourself off and renew your determination to get so close to the Father that your faith grows until it is HIS FAITH working in you!!

– 9am morning meet-up and fellowship at Olive Garden, with a complimentary light breakfast provided

* Thursday, November 14th is our Radiant Friendsgiving Around The World! Join us for a special Radiant Friendsgiving in the Headquarters Dining Room at 7pm. We invite you to bring a favorite celebration dish from your cultural heritage, and enjoy a night of amazing food, worship and ministry!
Doors will open at 6:15pm with food and fellowship, and ministry will begin promptly at 7pm.
The event is free, however, registration is required. Gather some friends and register today at Radiant Friendsgiving
