Why do we vote?
Appointing leaders to rule and judge over us has been God’s plan for us as His people multiplied.
Deuteronomy 1:13; “Choose for your tribes wise, understanding, and experienced men (this includes women), and I will appoint them as your heads.”
God left the choice of who would rule over us up to us! That choice is available to us today – IF we vote.
That is why it is important that we be doers of the Word and not hearers only deceiving ourselves (James 1:22). If we don’t take the time to learn about the candidates and to select those that have God’s interests at heart, then we become complicit when leadership is voted in that do not support our God-given principles.
Proverbs 29:2; “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.”
Do your part on May 24th in willful obedience to the Lord and vote for candidates that more closely represent God’s heart.
