Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relief

Dear Congregation,

We wanted to take a moment to update everyone regarding our disaster relief efforts in South Texas and the Houston area, as well as here locally, in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. First of all, thank you for your continued prayers for those who have been affected. Over the next few days, we will be assessing how the KCM and EMIC Disaster Relief Teams can best  minister to our partners and friends.

The first outbound calls have already been made to our KCM partners in the impacted area.  We will be partnering soon with an organization or local church to take a team(s) to South Texas.  Here locally, we are partnering with Operation Blessing to help stage and prep food at their warehouse in Grand Prairie, TX.  The City of Fort Worth will be also be opening a shelter that we may support.

Once we have established both short-term and long-term plans, we will be asking for volunteers to help support our relief efforts.  We will be sending out more details very soon.  We are so appreciative for the positive response and support that we have received from EMIC so far. Please be in prayer over where the Lord may have you serve during this time.
