Pastor George Pearsons

Sunday Outline – May 7, 2023

Last Sunday, Pastor George ministered that we are “Carriers of the Glory.”

Pastor George highlighted one of the key points Pastor Terri made in her message the previous Sunday, “Drawing Upon the Elements of the Divine.”

One significant part in your body is your DNA. This life of God bears within it the DNA of God and His glory. God's DNA is in every part of your spirit man. As a believer, you have His DNA working in you. You have His fingerprint. You have Him.

He is not in a little box. He is in you. He is in every spiritual cell, every spiritual part, and God is flowing in you and through you; and He wants to flow out of you. He wants to flow out of you…

  • Wherever you go
  • As you walk those paths
  • In business
  • In your home life and in your relationships.
  • As you walk down the street.
  • As you stand in line at the grocery store.
  • Wherever you go and whatever you do.

The more you drink of Him, the more you think of Him, the more you dwell on Him, the more He will flow out of you.

Isaiah 60:1-2;

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”

The glory of God is defined as heavy, weighty, the full weight of God. That weightiness is transferred to us as believers who have the eternal life of God existing in them

(AMPC) ARISE [from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you—rise to a new life]!

Shine (be radiant with the glory of the Lord), for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you! For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and dense darkness [all] peoples, but the Lord shall arise upon you [O Jerusalem], and His glory shall be seen on you.

(TPT) Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you! Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you!

The glory of God, the goodness of God, and the presence of God are not only who He is, or what He has available to offer us; or even a definition of His ability. The glory, goodness, and presence of God is best understood as “I am” these.

We are a temple for God’s Presence

Within our ability to carry the glory of God, there is an inherent requirement to look at Jesus Christ, and His actions on this earth, as the definitive “First born of many brethren.” To study Him, to be willing and obedient to become what we see Him doing in the Word. Jesus Christ is our pattern for true fellowship with God.

Exodus 33:18-19;

“And he [Moses] said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”

Moses said I beseech thee show me your glory, and God said, "I will make all my goodness shown to you." When we’re talking about the glory of the Lord, we’re talking about the goodness of God.

How is the glory of God able to define our position in Him?

There will be people around you, whether they are born again or not, will recognize there is something prominent about you. They may not be able to explain, but they will see you are not like other people.

Israel was a carrier of the glory.

The glory flowed out of them into others.

Hebrews 1:1-3; (NIV)Jesus was a carrier of the glory.

“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being…”

The purpose of salvation is to bring us into a place and position to receive from God all the love, grace, authority, power, goodness, that was bestowed freely on Adam; and again in Jesus Christ. Our pattern of a man operating in this earth with a reborn human spirit.

Mark 5:30;

“And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, ‘Who touched my clothes?’”

Virtue was inside of Jesus.

Virtue (Greek) is the word dynamis, which means Power for performing miracles. This was the glory of God.

V.30 (NLT) Healing power came out of Jesus, as He was a carrier of the glory. Glory flowed out of Him into others.

John 17:22; (NIV)

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.”

Acts 5:12-16;

“And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the Lord, multitudes both of men and women.) Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.”

The glory came out of Peter and the apostles (by laying on of hands and also by their shadow [the presence of the glory flowing through them]).

  • Peter raised up Dorcas — just like Jesus raised up Jairus' daughter.
  • The Apostles were carriers of the glory.
  • The glory flowed out of them into others.

2 Corinthians 4:6-7;

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.”

1 Corinthians 3:16; (AMPC)

“Do you not discern and understand that you [the whole church at Corinth] are God’s temple (His sanctuary), and that God’s Spirit has His permanent dwelling in you [to be at home in you, collectively as a church and also individually]?”

Colossians 1:27; "Christ in you the hope of Glory."

From "Expect the Glory" by Kenneth Copeland

Where is the glory? Not off in heaven somewhere.

The glory is here, and is dwelling inside of us.

We are carriers of the glory.

You are as big on the inside as all of heaven!

The glory of God is in you.

The faith of God is in you.

The love of God is in you.

The mind of Christ and The Anointed One is in you.

All the fruit of the spirit is in you.

Healing is in you.

Deliverance is in you.

All the wealth of heaven itself is in you.

Those things were born in you when you were born again and ought to be flowing our of that mortal body, which we are living in right now!

The glory of God should be pouring out of that earthen vessel.

The glory of God is in us.

It is going to manifest in a greater way as we mediate on the glory of God so much that hope rises up and provides an image. Our faith will release the glory from the inside (even if we can’t see it), and it will end up on the outside (where we can see it)!

Remember the Words Jesus spoke to Martha when Lazarus died? He told her; "Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?" (John 11:40)."

Those words are just as true for us today as they were for Martha. If we will believe for the glory — if we will meditate on the Word of God until we develop our hope and begin to intensely expect the glory — then faith will become the substance of it and we will begin to see the glory in a much greater measure.

Psalm 8:1-3;

“O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens. From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise because of your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?

These are the angels talking, saying what is man?

Pastor George shared that he wrote in his Bible, “What is George, that you are so mindful of him and the son of man that you visit him?”

The word crown in this verse means to be “encircled, surrounded by, clothed and shrouded with.”

God has crowned us with His glory and His honor. We’ve been encircled, we’ve been surrounded.

2 Corinthians 3:18;

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Pastor George asked us to say this confession after him:

  1. I am a carrier of God’s glory.
  2. The glory is on me.
  3. The glory is in me.
  4. The glory is flowing through me into others.
  5. I arise and shine.
  6. My light, Jesus Christ has come, manifesting His glory.
  7. The glory of the Lord has risen upon me — and He is being seen on me.
