Welcome Our New Youth Pastor | February 16, 2014
Please welcome to the EMIC family John Jester! John has joined our staff as Pastor over 14Forty. He has a real love for students, a heart for discipleship, and a humble servant’s attitude.
John and his wife Brittney are from Alabama. They stepped out in faith this past fall when John resigned his youth pastorate, sold their home, packed up their belongings and waited for God to give them the next step. Then he heard about our opening and began the application process… and now we are blessed to have them here!
Thank you for your prayers and input as we sought the wisdom to bring the right person to minister to our students.
Move to One Service Sundays | December 1, 2013
Beginning January 5, 2014, EMIC will start conducting ONE BIG SERVICE on Sundays! Our morning service will begin at 10 a.m. and will give our entire congregation the opportunity to worship together as a family--a glorious, church family. We are looking forward to a new freedom in worship, ministry in the Word and moving of the Holy Spirit. A new day has begun and together we are being lifted up to a higher place in God!
Welcome Our New Young Adult Pastors | October 3, 2013
In the spring of 2013 we set our faith for a young adult pastor to minister to our 18 -29ish congregation. Faith has come to sight! Please welcome Donnie Petty to the EMIC staff. Donnie will be serving full-time as our young adult pastor. We are excited not only about the ideas and vision he brings to our staff, we are touched by his humility and strength of character.
His wife, Dara Maclean-Petty, will serve a part-time dual role as a worship leader in adult services and assistant young adult pastor to the Bridge. We are so thankful to the Lord’s faithfulness to our congregation. Donnie and Dara bring a fresh creative perspective to our church and young adults.
