Pastor Brenda Ballinger
Associate Minister


Pastor Brenda has a vision to disciple small groups of people using the LIFE method of Love, Instruction, Fellowship and Evangelism, stirring up the gifts God has placed inside of them. She has been with EMIC since 2001.

Iva Bennett
Associate Minister


Iva Bennett coordinates all the EMIC prayer groups. She has served as a prayer leader and has been instrumental in demonstrating the importance of prayer and teaching effective methods of prayer. She has ministered in the U.S. and internationally, teaching and imparting to others the spirit of prayer and intercession.

Richard has a heart to teach everyone that their life has value and purpose. He has a desire to help them fulfill God's plan for their life. Richard states, “Our responsibility is to use the gifts and talents that our Lord Jesus Christ has given us.”

Kellie Copeland Swisher

Student Ministries


Loved by kids worldwide as "Commander Kellie," Kellie Copeland Swisher is committed to helping this generation discover the power of living for Jesus. She is focused on equipping kids to live extraordinary, Spirit-led lives…and stand against the kingdom of darkness. Her vision has inspired the popular series of Superkid movies, books, magazines and more. "My driving concern is that kids see living for God as fun, doing His works as an adventure—and everyday life as their mission field."

Dr. Tony Erby

Education and Pastoral Care


Dr. Tony brings 27 years of ministry experience, a Ph.D. in Psychology and Masters degrees in Education Administration/Supervision and Clinical Social Work to his role as Pastor over Education (Believers’ Institute) and Pastoral Care. His heart is to see the congregation of EMIC flourish and grow spirit, soul and body.

Pastor Scott has a tremendous desire to see every believer become the man or woman that God has called them to be. His primary focus is to cultivate a leadership culture that will give focus to fulfilling the vision and mission of EMIC.

Cara Gunia
Superkid Academy-Nursery Coordinator


Even the tiniest babies can know the love of God. Cara aims to provide a caring and nurturing environment for our babies, birth through two years of age. Her desire is to teach children about God’s love and how He created everything good in their world, just for them, because He loves them.

Ryan and Rebekah Harrison
14forty Youth Pastors


In 2009 Ryan and Rebekah joined our staff as youth pastors for 14forty. They both have a passion for raising up the next generation and seeing our youth rise to the next level God has for their lives by equipping them to know who they are in Christ, to know His Word, and to flourish in the gifts God has given to them.

Chris Lee
Superkid Academy Minister


Chris is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center and serves as Lt. Commander for Grades 1-3. He also leads the Superkid Academy praise and worship band. His desire is the see children realize they are soldiers in God’s army and see the gifts of the spirit in operation in their lives.

Susan McGowan
Minister of Education (Believers’ Institute)


Susan McGowan heads up all aspects of our Believers’ Institute. With a Master’s of Education degree and ten years in public education, Susan’s background has prepared her to fulfill a major part of our mission statement—that we help believers grow from the milk of the Word to the meat of the Word.

Since coming on staff in 2002, Pastor Foy’s heart has been to equip believers with the Word of God so that they can train up others in the faith. His vision is to see our congregation winning the lost, ministering to our communities and strengthening their relationships.

Ministry of Helps Service Coordinator


Ever wonder who coordinates all of our ushers and greeters? Or who makes sure everything is in place for services? That's Denny! He and his family were called to EMIC from Pennsylvania. His heart is to be an armor bearer to the EMIC Pastoral staff and a blessing to the EMIC congregation.

Jeremy Silbernagel
Associate Minister


Jeremy’s work involves building teams and leaders. Since coming on staff in 2005, he has overseen the Angel Food outreach at EMIC. He is passionate about equipping the congregation with tools for ministry and building new relationships with local area churches.

Kim Stephenson
Student Ministries Manager


In 2000, Kim joined our staff at EMIC working Superkid Academy. In August 2004, she accepted a new position as Lt. Commander Kim and now serves as manager over all our student ministries. Her vision is to help our students fulfill the call—"Ordinary kids doing extraordinary things through the power of God’s Word!"

Sherry Swiney
Superkid Academy


Sherry coordinates the preschool classes at EMIC. She aspires to provide a loving, nurturing and fun place for our children, birth through Kindergarten. Her goal is to show and teach them the love of Jesus while providing an atmosphere where they can become rooted and grounded in the Word of God and apply it in their daily life as a preschooler.

Chris Wilder
Associate Minister of Pastoral Care


Chris Wilder coordinates Pastoral Care for EMIC and has been actively involved with the church since 1993. Chris holds a Master's degree from the University of North Texas. With 18 years experience, he provides counseling services to members of the congregation. "The goal of counseling at EMIC is to bring Christ centered solutions to life’s challenges. God is in the healing business and He desires to heal the whole person—spirit, soul and body!"
